Against a pit with bad intentions you would just end up falling on your ass and then you'd be at his mercy. Better technique for you would be to offer up your belly to the pit, then once he has locked on to that chunk of blubber you could use the knife on him.
Dumb as a rock aren't ya slick? A big strong man with a big knife vs a dog a third his size. Use your head stupid.

i agree that its on the owners. but a poorly trained pitbull could be lethal. a poorly trained golden retriever wouldn't. the risk and potential carnage with a pit is significantly higher, even if the fault is on the owner...
My pit would escort burglars to the valuables before attacking them, he loves everybody to the point where it's a serious concern for our safety.

Well with six inchs of steel stuck in his head that might do it, ya reckon ya dumb ?
I actually agree, no way a dog should kill a grown man with a knife.. but better get it done quickly because they will shred the out of you quick, and you'll end up bleeding to death even if you do merk the dog

if you aren't home, maybe. pitts are ridiculously protective of owners... before he got to know me my gf's pit used to hate me every time i approached her, but if she wasn't in the room he'd want to play, etc

A pit is going to grab onto an arm or a leg and hold on, you would have plenty of time to stab stab stab.

Yeah, my pit knows I am his master, but when I beat up my sons horse playing w/ them that fool bites me to protect them

Yeah, he will bite and hold on but when you tug away and he starts shaking his head violently, your arm or whatever will be shredded wide open.. Better hope he doesn't get an artery

does the dog owner get any charges against them?

down here they put the dog down, and the owner of the dog gets $$ fine or jail terrm, some like that...

hence the fkn dogs down here who own pitbulls are usually drug dealers

Yep..like I said, I've heard some horror stories since my girl began working there..

Recently, a pit that mauled a woman(it was a big story on the local news here) was brought into her work a few hours after the attack occurred..it was just her and another girl that had to handle him, since he has to be removed from his run..2 120-pound women vs. a crazy dog that just nearly killed somebody..every time she would look at him through the cage, he would jump at the bars and growl..they needed a rabies pole + distraction + tricking him just to get him out and get a muzzle on him..

Obviously, he didn't pass his temperament test and had to be euthanized..I've heard at least 3 of those same stories in the past 6 months, too..

You have a kinife in your free hand, how many stabs can any dog take before there they lay dead?

Probably more than the amount of neck bits that a human can take.

I have a hard time imagining a dog winning vs a 270 pound athletic strong man who can be vicious himself.

Barbarian vs a pit, I got the Barbarian.

Jimmy Hart vs a pit, I got the pit.

That's exactly why I think the knife is a bad choice. You're tying up one of your hands when you're probably better off grappling with the dog.

What happens is most people can't match the viciousness a dog brings, I don't have that problem

, so you walk around with a knife out, blade opened just ready for potential dog attacks?

Come on guy, if you were out walking and a loose pit saw your gay pedo ass and charged you, that dog will be there in a flash biting and ripping your ass while you fumble around in a mixture of trying to pull your knife and fight off the dog

I had a pit jump a fence and try to come at me one time when I was a teen walking through an alley to go play basketball at the park. I hit him with the ball and then charged him full speed and he turned around and ran off.

Couldn't be more wrong if ya tried. A big man with a six inch steel blade would be far more deadly than a wrestler.

Did ya miss the part about I carry a gravity knife? Ya just..flick..it open, ok stupid? If I can't get that blade out in a split second then I need to be chewed up. I carry the knife for protection, ok? I know how to use it and pity a poor dog attacking me.

    Fumble around, hahahaha~~~~~~~~

Believe it or not, if I had time to get a read on the pit, if a small one I might just kick it's ass instead of using my knife, I love dogs (always had a couple)

Grew up around pit bulls my entire life. Never been bit. We are talking 6-10 dogs with multiple owners. Some pure (most, actually), others mixed.

Want to know what dogs I have been bit by?

    German Shepherd
    Chow
    Collie
    Spaniel

    All regarded as family friendly.

People like Avante are full of because they don't want to take responsibility for themselves, which is why he's a fat 260+ with a history of overseas sex trade participation.
