I've always had dogs, I love dogs and cats. I never owned a dog where if they got out on the street I feared for the public/other dogs. What pit bull owner can say that?
Old guy walking his dogs and here comes a pit bull. That's fear. Kid out with his poddle and there sits a lost pit bull, that's fear.
Anyone here who doesn't get the realities of the pit bull situation are refusing to deal with how it really is.

There's a young (early 20's) Mexican guy who walks his pit around here, yep, his pants hanging half way off his ass, stupid ass tats everywhere, that funky walk, shades, real obvious what's going on there.
Pit bulls are like Islam, all dogs will bite and all religions have violence just not on that level.

You have no clue as to the purpose of that knife either. You think stealth is important when you get mauled by a pit bull? Do you understand the gravity part?
Make no mistake about it, a pit bull would maul that slow, uncoordinated, fatass if the animal was intent on doing so. You would be more likely to slash yourself with that knife which might leave you unconscious and bleeding to death very early into a piece by piece butchering.

What's the point? People don't pick that breed because of their calm demeanor. They do so for the same reason people drive huge 4x4s or duallys and never get off road or haul anything. They like how they look and their rep. If you'd feel like a got walking a chihuahua then you'd feel more macho walking a pit bull.
It's not even the dog's fault. The type of thug mentality drawn toward these things is enough to paint them all with a broad brush and be done with it. It's the same reason straight men don't wear rainbow colored items... oddly you can admire a real rainbow but want nothing to do with the symbol. Pit bulls are symbols of "I'm a badass" when in reality a good part of the time the owner is a chicken .
It's all about the damage a pit bull can deliver, obviously a whole lesser situation with a tiny little dog. Ya don't hunt wild bore with Chihuahua's for a reason.
