I think people underrate how important Barnes was to their small lineups. Barnes (and Green) have extremely strong bases that allow them to defend 4's and 5's without getting pushed around. Durant does not. Barnes was one of the only smalls I've seen that LMA couldn't just truck over. This is a problem given that all of their actual bigs (West, Zaza, Varejao, McGee) suck balls.
Point being, without Bogut, if a team can force GSW to go big, they can't field a lineup with 5 good all around players. It will be 4 good all around players and an old POS (or Javale McGee).
That being said, if this truly becomes a problem for them, they'll likely have first choice in the buyout market down the stretch.
