Rebounding takes little skill and a lot of effort to do well. He's not even doing that. Terribly disappointing.
Lee will take care of the rebounding if DeadMan could at least provide any sort of rim protection.

Manu took 10 shots tonight. Double than anyone else in the bench. , he shot more than Kawhi. Only 2 assists. Really concerning tbh, he better not think he's in his hero days again

he's the starting pg that's literally the least he can do.

why don't you explain why parker's assists go down in the playoffs?

Knew I was going to piss off Argie , gam 1990
you didn't piss me off. i'm laughing at you.

you called bertans a scrub, i said he'd be in the rotation. now you're saying he looks great and deserves to be in the second unit.

Bertans really is the only guy that has looked decent and ready to contribute.

Seriously, the main problem now is Aldridge and his diva chucker at ude.

There must be a lot ISO ball if 2APG continuously leads the team in Assists

why don't you explain why parker's assists go down in the playoffs?
Teams play better defense in the playoffs believe it or not. Shooters also don't make their shots.

I couldn't care less about how the players play in the preseason. Even somewhat the regular season now with how disappointing the season ended last season. The real basketball players will play good when the games matter in the playoffs/finals.

I love my Spurs, but what pisses me off more about the preseason every year is the horse person/group that is in or associated with the Spurs organization that decides to never air preseason games since I can remember.

We are probably going to remain compe ive and keep winning 50+ games a year and making the playoffs as long as Kawhi is here. No matter what some of the trolls think that we suck, and should tank after losing a game.

I wonder where this organization will be once Pop passes on, and Buford decides to retire because it seems like them two have everyone in the organization at the balls. Maybe that's why they brought Tim to continue the legacy as they might not know how to deal with losing if it ever gets to that. Maybe they will finally start showing ing preseason games to get our fans intrigued somewhat if we are ever a bad team again .

I really do hope Ime is our next head coach also, he seems to be a good teacher and a lot of players seem to like him. Messenia is okay, but he's nothing special and Borrego doesn't seem like a great leader or someone that will chew you out. Becky will get a shot at least being second in charge soon somewhere on the bench soon in the NBA.

Sorry for the small rant, I couldn't care less about basketball right now with football season going on but it's absolute bull that this has always seemed to go on. Great organization problems on the court right?

Ime coached the first half and Borrego the 2nd from some tweet I saw. ^
I didn't see the game, so I can't really say on anything they did or didn't do with players.
Sucks to not be able to watch preseason games even in league pass, when the team has so many rookies and has added players to their roster of the caliber of Gasol.

    I totally get your rant.

    wholeheartedly agree.

seems like they're just not trying to spend more money then they need to.

it's embarrassing they can't even manage to get a sponsor to pay for the hosting costs...

san antonio is cheap though. so maybe the market just isn't viable enough. it's sad/pathetic either way tbh.

When you think that teams like Suns were streaming his first home preseason game for their fans, but Spurs didn't want to...

now that i think about it, if the viable market was small... then the cost of hosting wouldn't even be that high.

the spurs not streaming is embarrassing. especially when you consider how many international players we have.

Don't get me wrong it's not as bad as paying $50 on PPV to see Michael Jordan and the Bulls or Charles Barkley and the Suns play against the Spurs in the mid 90's. I even felt sorry for ty Rockets fans that weren't able to see some of the Rockets games, because of the whole Comcast issue and not everyone could get the service depending where they lived in Houston. We are fortunate that we do get to see every regular season and home game here if you have cable. I was seriously thinking about writing the same message to the organization without all the cuss words of course and the coaching stuff. I probably would get a corporate response back is probably why I'm not going to even bother, but we are the only team in the NBA that doesn't show preseason games on our broadcasts from what I've seen seriously. It's somewhat of joke that it has gone this long in all honesty. I'm pretty sure Bill, and Sean will be more than happy to get some practice in before the regular season starts without much of pay increase. At least do the home games .

Still second in command: Though the Spurs plan to find ways to get Kyle Anderson and Jonathon Simmons on the floor more this season, it might not come at the expense of Manu Ginobili. The 39-year-old controlled the second unit against the Hawks, finishing with 11 points, three assists, two rebounds and two steals in 16 minutes. The chemistry with Patty Mills was solid, as the two assisted each other on back-to-back baskets in the second quarter. While the bench will go through an early transition with a few new pieces, Ginobili will still be counted on to lead the way.
Youth movement: The fourth quarter belonged to the bench as Simmons, Davis Bertans, Nicolas Laprovittola, Bryn Forbes, and Dejounte Murray got the majority of the minutes. With 8:48 on the clock, Bertans nailed his first basket, a 25-foot 3-pointer on an assist from Laprovittola, giving the Spurs a four-point lead (84-80). Following a Dewanye Dedmon block on Matt Costello, Forbes grabbed the rebound, ran the break and nailed a jumper. Bertans then scored again on an assist from Laprovittola, giving the Spurs a 90-82 lead. Bertans finished with 10 points and three rebounds, going 2 of 3 from beyond the arc in the fourth.
