    In the campaign, sure. But Trump wouldn't be where he is now if he hadn't burned banks for hundreds of millions in bad debts. He wouldn't have been in the position to do the deals without mob ties and political connections and he didn't have the wherewithal to get the loans in first place wirhout Fred Trump standing behind him.
