Way too early to tell at this point, but they might be. They have a lot of players that will be playing on Sundays. Chris Peterson is a great coach too.
Lol no. Top 5 yes but best no.

No, I can firmly say Alabama is the top team in the country.
I'd say second best after the Tide, but I really would like to see UW go to the CFP and face them in the semifinal.
Ranked #23
Ole Miss ranked 12th with 2 Ls
And Tennessee didn't drop any spots with their loss![]()
Yeah the rankings have gotten just ridiculously stupid
Luckily, there is still half the year to go and a lot of this nonsense will sort itself out.
Is Washington really that good? I haven't watched one snap of them all year...so I can't even give an opinion.
Anybody here watch them a lot?
I've seen every Husky game this season and I can say their defense, which is 1st in the country in takeaways, is not only the best in the Pac12, but can rival any other in the country. The only in the armor I've seen is when they face speedy and mobile QBs. Their offense is increasingly explosive, especially with their QB having a great sop re campaign so far. Coach Pete has done a remarkable job keeping the team grounded and focused. But if they played Alabama or if somehow Louisville got in and faced them, the Huskies would lose. For any other team, I would favor U-Dub. They are that good and that hungry.
In 20 years when there are only 4 super conferences plus ND, there won't be a need for silly polls other than for entertainment purposes only
Houston losing killed their season. They needed to go 12-0 to make the playoffs... too bad.
Only hope for a Texas team to return to the biggest stage of all is A&M being Alabama next week... but it's on the road, where A&M hasn't won since the Johnny Football era... still got a decent chance... go Aggies!
Aggies have a fairly easy schedule afterwards so they could lock up #1 overall if they beat Alabama and don't choke down the stretch.
