How bout them Dodgers, Pulp?
Congrats, Joe and Thread.
Looks like it's going to be a magical year for Cleveland sports, with an NBA le and at least a pennant (I know the ALCS isn't over, but your pitching and bullpen are just too deep, while your offense is just as good as the Jays).
How bout them Dodgers, Pulp?
Finally clutched one out. We're massive dogs vs. the Cubs, so I won't be too upset if we lose that series. Hope Kersh at least has a good outing against them. In any event, mission accomplished for the season. I'm cool with reaching the NLCS.
Obviously I want the Tribe to go all the way, but I'm going to be happy with them regardless of what happens from here on out. I don't even want to think about losing right now, though.
Won't be mine, but, I'm happy for Joe & Cleveland.
He would if they lost Game 1. You can't go back to California 0-2. It won't work that way.
That would be quite impressive. Especially, if he were to pitch well.
Just took a few days layoff and Jays offense are back to the league worst it was in September. smh.
Rangers made them look much better than they were tbh.
Definitely truth in this. They had the worst offense in the majors for a month before Texas.
Throwing Miller out there is just pouring salt on the wound. Tomlin was owning the Jays plenty.
Hope the Jays get swept
Good game, lefty. Cubs magic continues. We don't have the firepower.
. Made us sweat for a while there. Not sure about Joe taking Lester out early, but he played his bench perfectly so there's that. Crucial gm 1 win, especially with Kershaw pitching next game.
Honestly, if anything, this game made me think the Doyers have a shot. If they win tomorrow I think they have the advantage.
We were definitely hitting the ball hard all night and making the Cubs defense work, but aside from Kersh, we just don't have another shutdown ace. Meanwhile, the Dodgers have to go through the 4 headed monster of Lester, Hendricks, Arrieta, and Lackey.
But it's baseball, where the choke factor is obscenely high, so you never know.
No sign of fatigue in that inning. Might be a long night for the Cubbies.
lets hope he doesn't beat us 4 times in this series.
Kershaw shedding his choking ways before our eyes, it seems.
That was painful to watch. I'm not sure how Kershaw ever struggled in the postseason with the kind of stuff he displayed tonight. On to Rich Hill now.
Great game. Kersh shedding some of the choking label.
That was basically an elimination game, since the Dodgers would have zero chance at the series if they blew Kershaw's start. Cubs are still big faves. I actually think Dodger stadium works more in the Cubs' favor due to their power and speed. And you have to like Arrieta and Lackey against Hill and Urias. In any event, just happy Kershaw didn't blow it for once.
Basically against one team, your mortal enemies, who've broken many a hearts.
It's Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday straight in LA. You almost have to bring CK back on Wednesday so you can call him again in Chicago.
