They allowed a 33-35 year old to dominate the league.

I dobt think its been stated enough but mid 90s to late 90s was so deficient in talent...not as bad as the 70s..but still ridiculosuly bad.

Yeah, that Michael Jordan was just awful and influenced an entire generation at least. And that was a time when real centers roamed the court, stompin' opponents into the dirt as opposed to today when centers rebound and block and pretty much everyone else just jacks 3's, tries to cross people over and tries for flashy SportsCenter dunks.

    Stop trolling OP.

That's b/c they didn't play in AAU programs & stayed 3-4 yrs in college back in the 80s thus they didn't have a ton of mileage compared to the current mid-30s cats.

LeBron has probably already played more minutes than Jordan did for his ENTIRE career if you combine AAU+FIBA+NBA.

AlSo those late 1980s-early 1990s drafts were pretty weak, tbh..Who apart from Shaq/Payton was what you consider a franchise player or ended up having a HOF career?

Jordan's main rival for MVPs was Barkley (ala Dominos/Bron) whom he creamed in the '93 Finals. Jordan also creamed pre-HIV Magic in the '91 Finals.

'84-'93 Jordan was the baddest man to grace a basketball court, he would have creamed the '95-'98 version.

Jordan didnt do against Magic, he has to thank MVPippen for his defensive contribution

And Magic (an overrated passer tbh) lost Worthy and Scott to injuries; I'm not saying they would have beaten the Bulls, but they wouldn't have lost in 5

The only thing Jordan couldn't Magic was guard him in the post b/c of the sheer size disadvantage. Otherwise, Jorn beat Magic at his own game as a facilitator while dropping a very efficient 31 & completely shutting down Byron Scott.

Jorn outplayed a HEALTHY Magic just as bad as LeBron outplayed an injured Curry:

You have to divide the 90's in two parts, the league was basically Michael Jordan and the Bulls rapping an inferior league mainly because of the expansion. Spreading the talent was the elephant in the room most people ignore nowadays. The additions of Orlando, Miami, Minnesota and Charlotte in 89 were not necessary. The league was already suffering from a lack of talent and it was compounded when some of the best players of each draft ended up with expansion teams (Shaq, Penny in Orlando. KG and Marbury in Minnesota, Alonzo Mourning and Larry Johnson in Charlotte to name a few

If it wasn't for the 96 And 97 NBA draft, the league would've sunken into the bottom considering how awful the talent pool was in the late 90's up to 2002.

You know this has nothing to do with an era and everything to do with OP being an attention . He just tries to say things that will get lots of responses. He doesn't belive 80 to 90% of the he says.

Just look how much the got flip flops on his stances.

True, that's another reason why the last " le" won in the 90s got a big fat *

    * denotes a 50 game season. 50/82= 61%. Whoever won the le that year was 39% deficient in legitimacy based on my advanced calculations.

Look at the top 10 lists that are coming out recently, the usually consist of some of the following players:

    Draymond Green
    Paul George
    Kwahi Leonard
    Steph Curry
    Lebron James
    James Harden
    Kevin Durant
    Chris Paul
    Blake Griffin
    Westbrook

Now look into 1996, exactly twenty years ago. That top 10 would have some combination of

    Jordan
    Hakeem
    Malone
    Pippen
    Robinson
    Ewing
    Shaq
    Anfernee Hardaway
    Grant Hill
    Stockton
    Payton
    Kemp
    Barkley
    Reggie Miller

You tell me which group is better.
