Last time (SIX TIMES) the Niners lost a SB (five-one) they were one play away from winning ANOTHER le. They didn't get destroyed like the Panthers.
And, the last time the Niners played the Panthers in the playoffs, SF 23-10.
I remember that one. Everyone wanted Niners to win despite Panthers being at home because SF/SEA was the tastiest flavor of cookie at the time for big media.
When you have great defense, you don`t spend all the money on overhyped QB. Broncos were lucky, that old fart Manning wasn`t in line for 25mil extension. They are still good with Trevor Siemian of all people. Seahawks and Panthers weren`t that lucky.
