For people obsessing over McCaw>Murray right now would do well to remember KJ McDaniels. Dude looked like a runaway over Kyle during the first year, but he couldn't hold Kyle's jock now -- and that's not even really a compliment to Anderson. It's just a reminder that the guys haven't even started their careers yet, and nothing is settled.

McDaniels was extremely unlucky to end up in the situations he found himself in tbh; McCaw will only flourish in the Dubs' organization.
So is LJC officially here just because of the two year guaranteed rookie deal? So two years of NBDL? For people who have watched the other games has he showed any pulse whatsoever to indicate he should ever be on the roster?

Yeah. He looks a lot better than he did in the summer. Now that he knows where to go and where everyone is supposed to be, his IQ is helping him get to the right places. And he's been making his shots. I don't think he's been contesting much, he what he has been doing is that Splitter-esque cutting off of drivers. I definitely think they need to give him some time to get stronger and figure out what he can do at a high enough level to make that his niche. He could probably go out there with the starters in a real game and not embarrass himself, but I don't think he'd help them win this season.
In order for Houston to be a top 5 team this year, the west will have to be bad. Houston is going to have to take and make a ton of the three's and score 115 points just to give that defense a chance.
Doesn't stop the fact that he isn't a good player. Right now, McCaw looks about as good as KJ did while Murray looks about the same as Anderson, so we'll have to see.
