Some perspective on Miller. I don't love his commentating, but I think he talks up the underdog more than he simply just hates SA. Why is he going to say "Well, the Spurs need to do this on defense..." when the Spurs are up by 10+ points? Instead, he talks about what Memphis needs to do to get into the game. I don't think he hates on the Spurs like Barry does, but rather I think he just talks about what the losing team or struggling team or underdog team needs to do to compete. I also like Van Gundy and I think he is thoughtful about the Spurs and is fair in his calling. Never been a fan of Marc Jackson, but I don't hate him. Webber is bland. Like I said earlier, Walton is fun. Put him with Hubie and the television might explode with basketball knowledge and entertainment.

Signed in just to say thanks for posting this. Great point re: Reggie and underdogs.

I miss Steve Kerr calling games. I do not hate Reggie. I think he tries hard and is just not a natural. Same with Chris Webber. At least JVG is not afraid to say what he thinks. Sorry, I still find Bill Land annoying.

Mark Jackson is the worse. When I listen to him, I cannot believe he was actually a coach. Just terrible.

Reggie Miller, eh. JVG can make you laugh, even if not intentionally. lol. But, Mark Jackson...guy has some serious mental issues, imho.

Either way, if FSSW and Sean aren't broadcasting the game, I now just turn off the volume...until TNT halftime report with charles and shaq

And yet he sucks the Warriors 24/7. . .even when the Warriors aren't playing (especially during Spurs games). As if to try and remind everyone that no matter how good the Spurs look, there's a team with a few more wins who are the defending champs and favorites. Not just once but several times a broadcast. He did the same for the Lakers when Pau Gasol was still around for them to be good. So I don't buy that he's an underdog guy. If that's all it was I would have no prob, but he always sucks the league's current flavor of the month (Lakers, Thunder, Clippers, Heat, Warriors) when they're peaking in popularity.

Reggie saying the Spurs aren't as good as this and Warriors arent as bad as this. Wouldn't of said that is the score was flipped.

Then consoling Warriors fans at the end saying that its only 1 game.

And now for Reggie's quotes of the night!

"The warriors are not this bad and the Spurs are not this good."

"Talking about sager strong, let's talk about Jonathan Simmons strong"
"With the dagger, cuts the league to 10."
"Warriors will you start 24-0? Obviously no."
"The Warriors are on a little run here" They had just gone from 29 down to 25 down"

Reggie says it and it's gotry. Pop says it and it's wisdom.

Spurs aren't good enough to blow the Warriors out on their home court on any given NBA night. So Reggie was right.

I caught the Sager comment, uncouth to say the least. Reggie isn't very good at fast thinking away from the ball.

TNT tries to make snooze fests more exciting by trying to convince the viewer that they aren't seeing what they are seeing.

Reggie Miller is a , he had nothing good to say about the Spurs and had many excuses for the Warriors.
The Spurs aren't this good? What a Asshole, the Spurs are always good but were even better tonight.
He was part of the "Hype parade" that had to eat they're words and a big helping of .
TNT , ESPN and all the networks are going to hype the warriors all year and I hope they are disappointed more often than they expect.
I predict teams like the Spurs , Wolves , Thunder and Cavs will give them more losses than last year.

Obviously he is right, the point is no way in he says that if the score was reversed. I am not under any illusion that we are gonna stomp the Warriors every time we play them, they are still the favorites for the le.

    Please.
The offensive foul on ZBo for slightly shoving LMA did look ticky tack in real time. However the review showed ZBo clearly grabbing LMAs jersey and using it as leverage to move him out of the way. Superb reffing!

I know this has been asked/answered but I cannot find it.
Does Spurs Telecast with Shaun and Bill Land run simultaneously? Or no go when national broadcast?

To be fair, Reggie also clearly said he hoped Kawhi wins Finals MVP during the game, which was shocking.

Yes, I am able to watch Sean and Bill on most national broadcasts at the same time as others are suffering with the likes of Reggie. My sympathies.

Reggie, for a good portion of the game, seemed as if he was distracted and had no idea what he was saying, and had to be corrected multiple times. Dude is mailing it in.
