He's redundant. They can't defend the paint or rebound for ...and that's not magically going to fix itself tbh.

gotta check the schedule, but if they win the next 10 in a row, he'll be alright... if they start losing though, I can already see him pouting about his touches, tbh

He passed on a wide open 3 tonight but scored at the rim.

They just have to learn spacing. They have to slow it down at first and speed up as they go along. Kerr wants them running like horses, and they can, and you cannot stop them but you can out rebound them.

He's basically a shorter, worse version of Durant. They get much better if the ship him for front court depth.

The Warriors are delusional enough to think that Klaynus is a star. Don't see them trading him anytime soon. Plus that would mean admitting defeat on the "Big 4" idea, and that prick Lacob is too smug to ever admit when he's wrong.

They're years ahead of any other franchise though...

He's one of the 3 most overrated players in the league, but it would be foolish to trade him, tbh..

I don't think it would be that foolish to trade him for a 3 and D guy and a center upgrade over Pachulia, tbh.

Iggy is getting traded since he's on a steep decline ala Diaw 1.0 & is due to be a free-agent. Klay can be converted into a 6th man.

No way they trade him. He's on a value deal too.

Their trade options will be very limited because they'll avoid getting contracts that run past this season due to the need to re-sign Curry and Durant. The lower the 2017 cap is the worse for them.

If he becomes disgruntled at his lack of touches/relegation to 4th option/worsened stats they'll most definitely move him.

They can sign Durant with the non Bird exception and Curry with the full Bird exception. The lower the cap goes the closer the non Bird exception gets to the max salary. Durant could get a contract starting at $31.85 million next year using the non-Bird exception and GS doesn't need to clear a penny of capspace to do it. It's exactly how Cleveland signed LeBron in the summer of 2015 even though they were way over the cap. With the cap coming in at $102 million next summer a Durant max salary would start at $33.5 million. I don't see Durant breaking up his team over $1.65 million, especially considering that Durant max salary would only have 4.5% raises. He'll keep doing the one and one contracts until the Warriors get his full Bird Rights and can give him max with 7.5% raises, just like LeBron has done.

Oh, I agree, they'll probably sign him with the non Bird exception, but his cap hold will be huge, they'll also need to keep Curry's and possibly Iggy's and/or Livingston's if they want to hold on to them. Gives them very little room to operate and improve with a $102m cap or less. They need the value contracts of Draymond and Klay long term, so I can't see them trading either.

    today's NBA
where players like Klay are considered elite at the SG position
    overrated defender
    catch and shoot

but MJ faced weak shooting guards in the 90s. Drexler, Dumars, Miller were
Danny Ainge would have destroyed that clown

cone face would have been a CBA scrub in the 90s

It would be dumb to trade him even if Worriers implode. Durant aint staying if they dont win a ring and then they woukd lose their onl other playoff performer

This. There is only one basketball and with their bench being depleted to sign Durant this makes the most sense. Whether it's Thompson or Durant, one of them should come off the bench. But neither of their egos would permit it IMO.

Not if they get rid of him for Whiteside. That would be a major threat to the league. If they get rid of klay for some A+ rim protection, the league is in trouble. I'm hoping the Warriors don't offer Thompson to phily for either Noel or Okafor when he comes back because I know philly would take that trade and it would make GS deeper with that shot blocker

When you (lose) an entire shift of ringed players you're going to have a difficult time walking away from that.

    I called it first.
