    Bump..

looking healthy with a spring in his step at OG, tbh..

Warriors are going to sneakily miss Bogut....His synergy with Curry and his long ref-leash when it comes to setting illegal screens for their shooters have been crucial to what they do..

really an underrated player especially in his Golden state stint (they lost their 2 series he was injured in) ..he was like their dirty work extraordinaire..they will miss him big time..West/Mcgee/Zaza aren't the answer..

They'll miss his illegal-screens-per-game stat. He'd give them a couple of wide open 3s a night.

Bogut anchored their defense with his size, blocking and rebounding, while Gaymond took all the credit. His loss will be felt all season long, so no surprise now their frontline getting their pushed in.

Even though we have our differences, we can agree on this.

Anything short than a historically dominating season (say 67+ wins with margin of 10+) and a great run in the playoffs (say max of 3 total losses) would be a disappointment for the Warriors. Durant, Thompson, and to a lesser degree Curry appears not to have that mental edge to handle that pressure.

Major questions the Warriors have to answer:
    1) How Durant can get along with Green?
    2) How Thompson can handle that lesser role, and whether he can be productive? He is best coming off the bench and leading the 2nd unit much like what Manu did for the Spurs, but I doubt his ego will allow that.
    3) Who will handle the dirty work Bogut used to handle? Bogut's rebounding, screens, and interior defense will be missed. People put way too much credit to Green on the defensive end. Bogut actually had the highest DRTG and 2nd highest (behind curry) ORTG-DRTG difference on the Warriors last year. He also had the highest DWS/48 on the team, and DBPM.
    4) Will Curry hold up well over the season? I think Kerr learned his lesson and will be minutes monitoring better this year.

I just don't understand the reckless nature of this transaction. Yes, go out and get Durant, but, in essence this was a 5 for 1 swap. Does not make a lick of sense. 2 for 1, yes, 3/4/5 for 1, no. The Cavs went into their boodle for over $50 million to finance their ring. Why wouldn't|couldn't State do that?

On the face it's not a sound business decision, but, that business/NBA is not part & parcel to [business].

the idea is to have the young core and then find some pieces to fit in. it's not hard to find a defensive anchor or some scoring off the bench or an undersized energy guy pf.. Naturally they are undermined currently, but they could solve their problems by giving minutes to guys like mcadoo and the likes. Playing the 4 for 40 minutes per game, will get them only so far.

They tore apart a Championship team, needlessly. All it would have cost them to add a thoroughbred/keep the fringe core was paper money.

The Warriors could have moved out Livingston instead of Bogut, and swapped their first round pick + Looney + McAdoo for minimum salary guys and still given Durant about $24 to $24.5 instead of $26.5. He's opting out after this season anyway for a bigger deal, so really only amounted to giving up a million bucks after tax to keep Bogut.

With so many ball dominant players, there is much less of a need for Livingston on this team.
