No other sport play that many games in a single season. In fact, some weeks they play 3 to 4 back to back to backs..

I can't imagine the daily cardio and conditioning they have to go through to play that many games. Impressive.

6 games in one week...Name me another sport that plays their players 6 times a week....

Is it even humanly possibly to play intense, mentally tiring, physically exhausting games 180 times in a single season of about 6 months?

It's grueling. T-Mac couldn't handle 5 games in a in' Independent league. And he said he was committed to playing the full schedule.

I know you're being facetious, but like I always tell you, stamina is the easiest to endure. Which is why I find it funny how modern NBA players are complaining about back2back's. 80's was a higher tempo game, and they had little problem handling the schedule.

some of these games are 4+ hours too, tbh...

then again, aren't they the best paid athletes in sport, tbh?

    4 hours of 180 games?

That's not even humanly possible for an intense sport anymore...That's ridiculous.

It should be possible for basketball. Players are treated with kid gloves today. And I think our Pop might've set the trend with his emphasis on "rest." 30 min per game for 21 year olds

Basketball players have proven they can play 82 games plus playoffs and then easily jump into their national team or Euroleague schedules. Oscar Schmidt played pro basketball for 30 years.

Minus the heat, playing baseball day after day is not generally that hard. There is no athlete that would not feel a toll playing all the games in July and August though.

T-mac also couldn't handle one NBA game by the time he retired, he was full on TOSB status

You try doing coke and alcohol at a high clip then driving a high speed boat at dawn into a jetty, see how you feel.

Goodell's gotta being crying in his coffee this morning. The people who follow sports ratings on TV all had SNF beating the World Series. Last night's game got Cavs vs. Warriors Game 7 numbers

I also don't know why povertyball fans keep trying to indict the athleticism of baseball players? I buried their arguments months ago. Anyhow, here's another example hot off the presses.

23.7 mph sprint speed , nearly 2 mph faster than any recorded time a povertyball twink has ran in game.

You teared up when you saw Andre Dawson in the crowd last night, Left. Don't front.

I know you watched. We all know you secretly love baseball. Expos will be back soon.

Can you link to these arguments? Hard to consider baseball a sport when it requires you to wear a belt.

Baseball is stupid like that. It should be a weekend and holiday sport only.

No other sport in the mainstream plays every day because why would you want to? That's an unnecessary grind and it ties up your time. What if you have business back at home but are stuck on an 11-game road trip? And it must be physically and mentally taxing, even for a sport like baseball that doesn't constantly force you to exert all of your physical energy second after second, minute after minute, play after play.

They'd never give up the potential revenue but the season should have roughly as many games as the NBA and NHL.
