I still have them as favourites, tbh.
Going with the reigning champs on this one. Warriors need to hope some team is stupid enough to gift them a big.

Draymond crying about teams trying to "punk" them when he's been kicking people in the nuts for two years.

Durant makes them more iso-heavy while the lack of illegal screens means the pick and rolls don't automatically open up defenses.

Which is why Westbrook as a ball-stopper and only culprit of OKC offensive predictability is such myth..Durant himself eats up quite few possessions ISOing and shooting over defenders..

    raybies
had a great post about this point last week..This is indeed reverse of the Heatles situation when eventually Wade had to hand off the Keys of the offense to Lebron..

Super early, but my thoughts are this.
Anything or anyone that takes shots and time away from Curry and his ability of creativity is gonna be a loss unless it's Lebron James. What makes or made the Warriors so explosive last year was the three ball and I mean the ball movement, the screens, and player movement without the ball getting those catch and shoot threes. Not to mention Stephs brilliance with the ball. KD as good as he is takes away from that. Durant offense is a downgrade from Curry offense imo. I want to see Durant post up. It's not a three. Durant will demand his ISO on mismatches and so does Thompson for that matter but Steph and Klay had a balance. KD is a big wrench the tool box right now. It's not news to anyone but they'll need time to adjust. They'll figure it out but at what cost. We have to hope that Durant doesn't realize he'll need to be completely selfless and let the ball flow. He has to be able to live with scoring in the low twenties and letting Steph and Klay and Draymond have there shots with Steph having the majority. Everyone should get less shots except Steph.

Also the lack of bench is an issue.

They added Zaza and David West. What does that tell you about rim protection? haha

The Lakers would actually have been a pretty good team with KD and the pieces they have now with Luke tbh

Lakers would have given up their young cores also to make room. His best move was to stay at OKC but he was such a cupcake

I thought that they would play aggressive wing defense to off set the lack of rim protection with Curry and Durant, in particular, playing much harder D. The bucks in 2014 were a great defensive team with Zaza in the lineup so it can be done. Oh well; hope they keep sucking ass so this team breaks up and so one tries this stupid again.

I didn't realize how fragile Durant is mentally. I don't think he could have worked with LMA. Kawhi eventually would have kicked their asses.

Damn, Warriors looking thin as . One injury and they are screwed.
With a curry injury, that team basically becomes A just Durant team. Anus is easy to stop and dray is not a legit offensive guy.

    Just gotta hope tbh.
To scrape two wins versus two ty teams and get blown out in another, their core had to be run down to the ground :

minutes played in first 3 games:

    Curry:34,34,34
    Green: 33, 34, 38
    Durant: 37, 39, 38
    Thompson:33, 39, 40

Good luck getting through 82 games with that kind of load..
Curry injury is the dream scenario but they would be ed with any kind of injury. Who do they play if Draymond gets injury? West? Who's the wing that gets significant playing time if any of Durant, Thompson or Iggy get injured?

I expect them to make some kind of moves to get some depth, but for now that rotation looks Rickety.
I didn't realize how fragile Durant is mentally. I don't think he could have worked with LMA. Kawhi eventually would have kicked their asses.

Why are you quoting posts about folks speculating about the Warriors getting injured when they aren't injured? Dumb mother er.

Anyone who knows the NBA knows the Warriors if they ring it will have an asterisk. Durant joining the Warriors would be like prime Shaquille O'Neal joining the 1996 72-10 NBA champion Bulls. Imagine the 96 Bulls with Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc, O'Neal, Harper, yikes that's a scary death lineup. Now about people caving and saying the Spurs are doomed Warriors will ring the next 7 seasons. Spurs are in a position now where they have to make moves to compete with this team. Anything can happen on the court, that's why they play the games. Warriors with Durant could have a bad season eventually, it happens.

They had to ing injure Kawhi to survive the series. They were down twenty plus when he went down, even without Parker.

You're crazy. The only way that happens is if they get rid of Klay for a shot blocker

Yes they did indeed have to take Kawhi out and everybody knows it. If they win it will probably the least exciting win in history of the NBA. I could be wrong and the general public doesn't mind the lack of parity. I wish there was something Lebron could do to stop them, but adding R.C. Durbeta makes it tough.

Survive the series? Why? Was it a one game series? Is Golden State not capable of making adjustments?

To be fair KD had a significant injury and GS still finished with the best record in the NBA if we are being honest here. It's ok to be wrong some times. They were thin but turned out not to matter much.

Maybe they do, maybe they don't. They sure looked like they were getting rocked before Zaza Pachulia decided to take the series into his own hands.

If Durant gets injured now they wouldn't beat the Cavs, tbh.
