BREAKING NEWS: FBI Dir. Comey Reveals Contents of New Emails Exchanged Between HRC and Abedin
Late this afternoon, under pressure from Congress and other sources, FBI Director James Comey revealed the contents of one of the confidential emails recently unearthed on a laptop shared by Anthony Weiner and his wife Huma Abedin.
Here it is:
Comey said, “The FBI is working around the clock to determine the origin and meaning of this so-called ‘cat jiff’. As of now, we haven’t yet determined whether emailing this jiff violates any federal laws or regulations.”

It takes zero information to start the Clinton 'scandal' machine, and the machine has no brakes
You start with the assumption that Hillary Clinton is corrupt. …
And if she's corrupt, then we definitely need to investigate her.
Virtually everything she does is suspect.
Any mistake she makes can't simply be an accident or a lapse in judgment; there must be some criminal intent behind it.
It doesn't matter how many millions of taxpayer dollars or thousands of man-hours it takes in FBI investigations and congressional hearings.
No price is too high.
And when you investigate endlessly, you find evidence. ...
And with all that su ious evidence, the conclusion is clear: Hillary Clinton is corrupt.
And if she's corrupt, we have to investigate her.
And if we investigate her, we'll uncover evidence.
And if we find evidence, it must be su ious.
So she must be corrupt.
So we have to investigate her.
How much information did the FBI release on Friday related to Hillary Clinton? None.
How much media energy did it unleash? Enough to shove the planet out of orbit.
What will it take to do it again? Nothing at all.As I’m writing, CNN is on telling me that
With zero information about what is in those e-mails,
zero information about any connection to Clinton,
zero new allegations of wrongdoing,
the Times and much of the media treated this story with the kind of wall-to-wall coverage usually reserved for the first moon landing.
“the emails are still voters’ highest concern.”AMERICA IS SO ED UP.

"US Intelligence Community Agencies determined 81 email chains, Which FBI investigation determined were transmitted and stored on Clinton's UNCLASSIFIED personal server systems, contained classified information ranging from CONFIDENTIAL to TOP SECRET/SPECIAL ACCESS PROGRAM levels at the time they were sent between 2009 - 2013. USCI agencies determined that 68 email chains remain classified.
- another 2000 emails marked Confidential were transmitted and stored on at least two of Clinton server systems.
This just came in on MSNBC with Lawrence O'donnel..
New survey in Florida of early voting has Hillary leading Trump 48 to 40%.

COMEY SAYS F.B.I. INVESTIGATING HILLARY’S TIES TO BILL CLINTON
WASHINGTON — Dropping a bombs less than a week before the Presidential election, the F.B.I. Director James Comey revealed on Wednesday that the Bureau was investigating Hillary Clinton’s ties to Bill Clinton.
The announcement, which Comey made in a letter to members of Congress, provoked immediate howls of protest from Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta.
“To say that they are investigating so-called ties between Hillary and Bill Clinton while offering no specifics about what those ties might be is unconscionable this close to an election,” Podesta told CNN.
Comey, however, stood his ground, telling reporters that there was no way the F.B.I. could divulge the results of its Clinton-Clinton probe before Election Day.
“We have reason to believe that the ties between these two individuals go back to the nineteen-seventies,” he said. “This is going to take some time.”
On the campaign trail, Donald Trump praised Comey, whom he called “my favorite person in the world right now.”

There is no requirement for a politician to release his/her tax return.
When you don't, like Bishop Gekko and Trash, you're hiding something, very probably ILLEGAL, in both cases.
What little that has been found about Trash's gaming the tax system proves he's a horrible, anti-American asshole.
btw, it seems Trash won't have to pay a penny in personal income tax for the rest of his life. His tax cuts on the wealthy would save his family $4B.
You can speculate all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that you aren't required to disclose your tax return.
there's also no requirement not to disclose tax returns just because they're under audit. it is su ious, though...

FBI investigation fails to find evidence, but relies on alt-right propaganda
Now, as if Comey’s bludgeoning the election wasn’t bad enough, it turns out that when it comes to looking into the Clinton Foundation, the FBI hasn’t been able to produce evidence of wrongdoing. But that isn’t an issue. Because the FBI can just latch onto right-wing conspiracy theories.
The investigation, based in New York, had not developed much evidence and was based mostly on information that had surfaced in news stories and the book “Clinton Cash,” according to several law enforcement officials briefed on the case.
The author of the book Clinton Cash has a long history of false narratives belted together out of purposely distorted statistics, of basing his reports on proven hoaxes, and of making baseless accusations that he can’t back up. Almost as soon as the work hit the stands, it was shown to be full of errors and distortions. The author even indulged in the alt-right’s favorite theory that the Clintons secretly kill their enemies.
And yet, the book was greeted like a revelation by the New York Times, which indulged in wild speculation on top of the book’s proven false foundation, and which didn’t bother to mention when sections of the book they talked up turned out to be so wrong that the publisher actually made changes to the book to “correct” exactly those parts. In defending the book,
the publisher of the Times made one of the great admissions of the season.
"We take information from all kinds of crackpots. That's called reporting."
He might have said “all kinds of crackpots”—so long as they’re attacking the Clintons. That appears to be the standard for the New York Times.
And sadly, the same appears to be true for the FBI.

rough day for some, let's lighten the mood
why would anybody do that?
Because they were living under a rock and didn't know Hillary was this big of a crook
Yep. Donald Trump broke the norm that presidential candidates disclose their taxes, so we can see what their vested interests are.
It seems not an unreasonable expectation for a person seeking high office to abide by, and indeed it was a norm that the entire political class has observed for about 50 years.
Does the expectation seem misguided to you, tlongII? Shouldn't candidates seeking political power at the national level disclose their financial interests?
If Donald Trump feels free to set aside this norm, once in power, what other norms will he feel free to set aside?
This blithe setting aside of norms is not consequence free.
