Trust me, I've assumed the worst from government for a long time but even those FBIanon threads shocked me, if they're true.
It's all rotten to the core, tbh... last semi-decent prez we had was Bush Sr, tbh. Frankly, after the 2008 banking scam, nothing surprises me anymore.

Then again, I've lived in countries where corruption is way, way worse, tbh...

clock's ticking, brah... if she wins the election, she's going to have the "people's will" backing her up, still own the DOJ and if they nail the senate too, at least a couple years before any impeachment...
Best case scenario for her is impeachment, anything on top is all just icing on the cake for me. The hits could stop tonight and I'd be perfectly satisfied, but I'll get some icing.

I think best case, she just has 4 years of a fairly ineffectual presidency... I would actually think that's what's most likely to happen (if she's elected).

I'm just surprised you sound almost excited about this election.

This doesn't die if she's elected. FBI put their entire reputation on the line. She's toast.

The FBI can't indict, can only investigate. Without the DOJ, they can't do a thing, other than feed conspiracies.

That will be difficult if she just won an election. Much more if (D) wins the Senate. Don't forget the FBI works for the DOJ, and the DOJ is a branch of the executive.

My understanding of the special prosecutor statute is the the AG appoints, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, that may be right. Quick wikipedia check says congress can but deeper reading says no. I was going to correct it this afternoon but had a meeting and ran out of time. Cons utionally Congress's option is an impeachment hearing.
