thread...
Starters: Lapro, Simmons, Kyle, LMA, Gasol (played only 23 mins vs Utah)
Bench: Murray, Forbes, Bertans, Lee, Dedmon
Yes or no?
why? I think Kawhi and even LMA played a lot of mins tonight...
Theyll play son...Manu might rest, but everyone else will play..imo.
Fact. Kawhi played 31mins. By 2014+ Pop's standards is way too much.
I hope not. Stop babying the younger players. Only players that I understand getting rest on b2bs are Manu and Parker.
Exactly. It's not me, it's Pop with the micromanaging
They might but I doubt it.
Kawhi and Aldridge aren't in their mid to upper 30's like Tim, Manu, Tony were/ are.
Coaches need to know what they have with Mills playing with the starters. The PG position is a serious concern.
If Spurs win vs. Clippers tmrw with Patty starting and keep winning, Pop may finally become open to the idea of demoting Parker to the bench.
We haven't even played 10 games lol
Are you trolling or this for real? honest question... Kawhi getting rested? WtH? Pop killing Kawhi chances for MvP?
"Get over yourself"
Ok ... Manu is rested, but everyone else plays is my guess. It's too early to start tanking games on purpose. The downside of a top heavy team right now is if one of the stars is injured then you can't stop the freefall that will come, so no... I don't see Pop throwing away games on purpose.
... well I hope...
I wouldn't say tanking, I'd say it's a strategic loss planned to better prepare us for the long run
"Keep the guys fresh for the playoffs while also not letting the Clippers get a psychological advantage of beating us at full strength.
I'm playing chess, you guys are playing checkers. Get over yourselves."
Can we stop with this CIA, chess over checkers bullIt has not worked the past 2 seasons, the first 4 championships was Duncan being a beast, the 5th was the best coaching with the best team.
Pop couldn't care less about the team's fans.
Will sit the 25 year old/franchise player -Kawhi- and one of the most beloved/favorite Spurs' players -Patty- in a home game after only 6 in the season...
I understand when he rests players on the road to avoid the travel issues that affect legs, sleep, whatever...But in home games?
I wonder if there is any other coach of any other sport in the world that does that in home games...
