Their best player is a PG. So when Kawhi is on him, CP3 has double/triple screens to get Kawhi off and they set moving screens alot.

Spurs just can't hang with the Clippers; they're just too big and athletic, especially without Tim to take DeMonkey out of the game by posting him up.

This team is really looking like it goes as far as Kawhi takes them, tbh... no offense to the Clippers, who are a great team. Obviously, it's still way too early and we have a bunch of new guys... so no time to panic just yet.

I also feel that after beating the of the Dubs in the 1st game, we kinda got a target on our backs... some teams really are looking for the test. Just a shame we haven't consistently stepped up to the plate.

It's bizarre, since the Spurs were our worst nightmare for decades. From DRob dropping 71 and 10 on us and clinching the scoring le, to not winning a single game at the AT&T Center in its first ten years of existence, to the Ryan Gomes Game, and countless other embarrassments I'm surely forgetting. 7 changed everything, I guess.

They are not a favorable matchup but we'll see what happens as the season progresses. A lot of unpredictable variables that have to be factored in trades,injuries,chemistry,coaching adjustments,younger player development. Doc has pretty much laid out the game plan which is clog the paint and force Kawhi to be a jump shooter. Pop and CO has all year to figure them out.

That's how I feel too, tbh... obviously matchups matter, and whenever you win a ring, you always need a little luck, but they need to prepare for anything...

This game was a lot like SA at GS. It's very early season and Clippers played out of their minds and they might not repeat this, however, it has also shown how poor the match up is - Clippers got every switch they wanted. It's early, but last season the very first game was foreshadowing exactly what would happen to the Spurs in the playoffs. Hopefully Pop can figure it out this time.
