If you look at it, Softridge isn't better than Bosh & Pau/Porker aren't better than Wade. So, if the Spurs can win 60+ games then Kawhi should get the MVP like Lebron did in the '11-'12 lockout season when the Heat finished w/ a 46-20 record (62 wins). The Heat only had the 4th best record in the league & LeBron hadn't won a championship yet after choking against the Mavs.

    '11-'12 LeBron: 27/8/6/2 (PER: 30.7; WS/48: .298; TS: 60%)

    '15-'16 Kawhi : 21/7/3/2 (PER: 26, WS/48: .277, TS%: 616)

    Kawhi so far this season: 32/4/4/5 (PER: 40; WS/48: .487; TS: 62%)

It fairly conceivable that Kawhi can average something like 26/6/4/3 (PER: 28, WS/48: .29 TS: 60%), which would be better any of LeBron's past two seasons. At the end of the day, it going to come down to wins just like when Kirby stole Choke-P3's MVP in 2008.
If the Spurs finish w/ a better record than the Duds/Cavs then Kawhi should be the unanimous MVP.
His window for MVP is this season and next two before other generational talents (Towns/AD) enter their prime or play for contending teams..I'm almost sure Dominoes is out of it even if they win 65-70 games..There will be Curry-fatigue and he will split votes with Durbeta ala Blake/CP3..The Thunder and Rockets are looking like low 40-win teams .No chance for Harden/Westbrick.....It is Lebron and his apology votes...Also Kawhi can't afford these weird injuries, and will need to be suited up for at least 75 games..

The best I can compare it to is the 2008 MVP race when CP3 was carrying the Hornets but Kirby got the MVP b/c the Lakers finished with one more win than the Hornets despite having a better supporting cast. That was essentially an apology vote for Kirby after he missed out in 2006 & most of the voters said it came down to the last week of the season.

Pop probably won't give away wins at the end of the season by sitting starters considering they will be in a dog fight w/ the Cripples for HCA.

One thing I have noticed is that Kawhi is now finally get star treatment by the refs. This is great for his confidence knowing that he can get to the freethrow line is a huge boost mentally on the offensive end. It's helpful that when Kawhi is not shooting well that he can rack up a bunch of points at the freethrow line.

"MVParker," the "head of the snake," had shooting nights of 4-11, 0-6, 3-11, 5-15 and 4-12 in a playoff series against a Clippers team with a significantly worse defense than this one. Meanwhile, his fluffers are circlejerking over one bad regular-season shooting night for Kawhi in October. Porker stans are truly delusional.

Your offense wasn't even the problem, anyway. You scored 92 against a defense that has only been giving up about 90 points per game. The story of the game was defense: the Clippers played it, the Spurs didn't. And Porker's morbidly obese, non-defense-playing ass was not going to change that; he'd only have made things worse.

A Kawhi-led team won the Finals already. Meanwhile, a Newton "led" team has never won and will never win .
    2014:

All Star - Parker (Yes) Kawhi (No)
All-NBA - Parker (Yes) Kawhi (No)
Led Spurs in scoring (RS) - Parker (Yes) Kawhi (No)
Led Spurs in assists (RS) - Parker (Yes) Kawhi (No)
Led Spurs in scoring (Playoffs) - Parker (Yes) Kawhi (No)
Led Spurs in assists (Playoffs) - Parker (Yes) Kawhi (No)
Led Spurs in scoring (Finals) - Parker (Yes) Kawhi (No)

I love Kawhi but I don't agree that he is the second best player in the world. I would say he is probably Top 5 and definitely Top 10. If you asked most general managers in the NBA they wouldn't select Lebron first and Kawhi second when starting a team.
