20+ years as a Spurs fan and I dont think I've seen a more useless player than Kyle Anderson. He can't defend. He can't shoot, and constantly dribbles into traffic and destroys the offense. Bonner could at least shoot.

    Ok... maybe Keith Bogans. Maybe.

you can laugh as much as you want, but Kyle in college was a point guard...and considering that his main disadvantage playing the point is that he is unable to guard a faster point guard, we should at least consider that none of the other players in this roster looks able to guard the good point guards. Non Parker, no Mills, no Lapro, no Murray...not enough lateral quickness from any of them. So if we have, in any case, to rely on a shooting guard or a forward (like Danny or Leonard) to defend the opposite point guard, maybe we should try something different...Kile playing the point at 6.9 gives him advantage over any other point guard not named Bob Simmons.

There are no "defensive pg specialists" in the league. I mean you can name some guys who are ok, but they aren't the answer. Danny Green is the answer. With patty, you just have to hope he gets as much as he gives.

But lol at the kids here who say "we need cp3" as if this was the video game forum.

kyle is big speed cone. But he's got long arms so he can at least kind of funnel guys. If mills gets abused by our playoffs teams then kyle needs a shot as starting pg. Although honestly i know that a desperate move given kyles passive play.

I can't think of anything more destructive than an ongoing thread about who was individually responsible for a loss. This is a team game. What any team has is some individuals who are stars and other players who are in a supportive role. It is correct to say that the stars have better skill sets (Duh!) and the rest have lesser skills (Duh!). We all believe that this team has the player composite to win over 50 games, make the playoffs, and hopefully advance far into the championship compe ion.

But that just assumes that this team with a lot of new players, many untested, is going to be among the league elites because of their individual skill sets. It remains to be seen that the new revamped Spurs can make it work with all the new players, aging players, and some really good players with great skill sets. And we know they all want to win and will try to bring their best every night.

But on any given night, any one or two individuals may not play up to our expectations or their average stats, or the team as a whole may not play up to their skill levels in a blowout, but that is going to happen about 30 times per year. I don't see any point in trying to assess "blame" for a loss thirty times per year. ?

Pop might have tried Kyle / Kawhi / Bertans / Dedmon / Gasol when the game was already lost, just to avoid the disadvantage in pick and roll (Mills in Blake? Wtf), Mills was not well, and our pg is Kawhi anyway

You're missing the entire point of the thread. It's not about blaming an individual player....it's about blaming an individual poster.
