What do you think about this?
What do you think about this?
big pair of balls on McAuliffe. gaming the system big time.
He tried this once and got blocked, no?
all 60,000 probably won't register, and it's entirely possible that HRC's lead in VA is already much bigger than that.
clemency is a legit executive power, but the timing, the use of the autopen and the personal connection to HRC does look shady.
in principle, I'm for the restoration of voting rights to felons who've served their time.
McAuliffe will never live it down in VA, but who knows, maybe he'll be appointed.
Me too. The timing of this stinks like caca though.
F him.
Bogus.
It's like this that made me feel sick casting my vote for Clinton two weeks ago. Gotta vote for one of the assholes though.
Agreed. And to go a step further 2nd amendment rights as well.
At this point they're just flaunting corruption in our faces. Pulling this while he's already being investigated by the FBI shows no fear.
How slave states keep their ex-con knitters from voting. FL the same
depends on the felony
If you always find a reason why you should eat the then don't complain about eating .
I live in Virginia, actually about half an hour from the capitol, and it really isn't that big of a deal here.
McDonnell (the last governor) trial for corruption was a much bigger deal
Eh off, voting Clinton is eating less than voting Trump.
I'm having a hard time getting too indignant about this. It certainly reeks of partisan motivation but in the end, the result of this is more people get to take advantage of their Cons utional right to vote. Contrast with multiple states taking concerted efforts to limit voting in blocs that don't typically vote their way, or redrawing lines to protect their party in state/local elections, and I'll take this any day.
Stuff like this never gets changed unless one of the two parties stands to gain from it. We all wish the means didn't have to be so shady sometimes, but if the end justifies it, so be it. If Republicans benefited from making it easier for people to legally vote, and more people getting to vote in general, I'd still be in favor of it.
So these VA felons pardoned so late can still register to vote?
And why do Americans have to register to vote anyway?
(Social) democracies more advanced, more civil, more humane, more democratic than USA automatically register all their citizens.
Just another way "Christian, Christ-loving" America loves those Old Testament crazy punishments.
Christians, not Muslims, are the biggest risk to American democracy.
I'm with you on the first. But they need to change it to 2nd amendment privilege for these assholes![]()
