I'm probably the only person in the world who didn't find Goldeneye to be anything special.![]()
I didn't like the SP, but the split screen MP was awesome
Thanks, just DL'ed that . The only games I care about on N64 are Conker's Bad Fur Day and Ocarina of Time.
where's ratchet and clank, spyro, and pokemon? thought for sure they'd be up there
wtf...you didn't like Rayman???
You just outed yourself as having no friends bro
Eh, being one of the founding members of the Master Race, I was already playing FPSs multiplayer on the PC via LAN or 56k. Goldeneye wasn't anything special. Though I have to admit having some laughs thanks to the proximity mines.
Respect

Lol. For as much as I complain about series sequelizing themselves to death there sure are a lot of numbers in those les.
BNC Ethernet FTW, tbh
Damn I forgot to put the Shinobi arcade game in my top 10. Double Dragon arcade deserves an honorable mention also.
K maybe not quite a founding member. That's a little before my time.IPX connections over 10 base t was the earliest I used. Any pre-90s multilayer gaming I did was on console or in an arcade.
I remember playing the original Doom on a 10base2 LAN, with Netware and LANMan DOS drivers. I remember that needed terminators too. Reminds me of the SCSI days.
Gonna show my age.
Home Consoles, No order:
MGS 1
Super Metroid
Halo: Combat Evolved
Street Fighter 2 (all subsequent versions)
Mortal Kombat 2
Super Mario Bros / Super Mario World
NBA 2k (Dreamcast) Literally a game changer / NBA 2k5
Battletoads (NES)
Tetris
Rayman Legends
Honorable Mention: Adventures of Lolo (NES), Batman - Arkham City
I'll admit, I've never been a hardcore gamer and been a super casual gamer since about 2005. Only pick up a controller every 6-8 months.

1. Counterstrike - The game that single-handedly created the "realistic" compe ive FPS shooter. One of the most complete, balanced, intricate multiplayer experiences of all time, with a skill ceiling nearing infinity.
2. Final Fantasy VI Still the greatest FF in my eyes, along with perhaps the most incredibly detailed storyline in gaming history, especially the 16-bit era. A masterpiece of storytelling with graphics that were incredible not just for RPGs but across all spectrums of the day.
3. Half Life 2 It simply revolutionized what people thought about FPS games again. Half Life 1 redefined the complex narrative in a first-person game, HL2 perfected it.
4. Mass Effect Science Fiction on a scale rarely done as well by gaming or even Hollywood. The original Mass Effect might not have had the best combat in the series, but the universe was far more open and the sense of exploration was more novel.
5. Fallout 3 Another example of a game that breathed life into the sci-fi genre. While there was nothing too unprecedented about dystopian futures, Fallout 3 really excelled at pushing the sense of impending doom into the story.
6. Zelda So hard to define the pinnacle of this series most would point to Ocarina as the truly revolutionary game, but it is a standard that no other group of games has been able to meet.
7. Chrono Trigger A better, more intricate battle system than FFVI with a plot that allows you to time travel? Top it off with one of the greatest soundtracks in videogame history, and Squares ability to create unique experiences in-game to tell the story, CT is close to flawless.
8. League of Legends The most successful multiplayer game of all-time, with attendance numbers and demand that rivals that of NFL games. The incredible teamplay and tenacious compe ion are both its biggest selling point and its primary factor holding it back from perfection, as the MOBA genre is perhaps the most toxic in all of gaming.
9. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare The modern FPS standard. With a playerbase on PC that is still active, and future iterations that are critically lauded, its CoD4s balance and single-player story that really set it apart, treating players to one of the greatest FPS campaigns in history.
10. Rocket League Somewhat of a surprise, but Psyonix has completely perfected its game of multiplayer car-soccer. The superior controls of this game allow for such highly-crafted skills, its incredibly enjoyable to improve and watch your car take flight to score a goal.
Honorable mentions: Starcraft I/II, Resident Evil 4, Goldeneye, Civilization V, Super Mario Kart, NBA/NFL 2k series, Tecmo Super Bowl...
I also haven't played TLoU or Witcher 3 yet.

I got this in a nosteam sale the other day since I figured I'd play through some of the series before Andromeda, but it's so slow in the beginning. That has to be the most boring first 40 minutes I have played in a game. I haven't gotten any farther since I got Red Dead Redemption right after and that game is ing crack.![]()
The game picks up tbh. The story and the universe is just awesome.
How's the Canadian visa application going tbh?
I can't deal with the snow. Maybe I'll see if robdiaz wants to swap citizenships.
Vancouver
Is the river hard to swim to get there?
I was thinking Counter-strike when I did my list but it's a modification for Half-Life so it's basically included. I miss those days tbhThe original m4a1 colt carbine had a scope on it which made it extremely OP and there was a map called apc_siege and you could get into an APC and run over teammates to begin the round. Endless lol's
