I don't know about that. Even after he let him offin' the hook about taking Carl's arm the SOB still had a modi of sneer on his mug. Negan? That's his name obeyed the production & script and said he didn't, but, I didn't see much diff between when Glen & and bucket head were dispatched and when Carl was under the hatchet.
At some point this show devolved into a cycle of gore porn with no artistic merit. Maybe it always has been. But my apathy and lack of surprise at the 2nd death in that episode was a sign that I'm not interested or invested anymore.
It also blows my mind that this is on basic cable and you can't say " " or show a nipple.

And after "Jericho" it remains so ing difficult watching "Hawkins" struggle thru this WD materiel. That's what happens when you lay something down like that. I saw him in "The Next 3 Days" and that appearance seemed surreal after "Jericho." That surrealism has not lifted.

I watched it again, and it is a 'boring' episode especially compared to episode 701. It builds on a handful of characters without much conflict. It is a filler episode. Last nights episode was much better especially the directing. Daryl has grapefruit sized cajones!

Same thing with him showing back up there at the front gate in silhouette. Those people, all people in such a calamity would be borderline suicidal on a minute-by-minute basis. The episode where Rick and the group gives up their mattresses and guns was a 7-8/10
Episodes with Daryl in the Saviors prison + yesterdays episode were HORRIBLE...0/10...
This show is so odd man...they are legends at 'filler' episodes. I mean literally they purposely have episodes like last nights for what purpose? Just to set up that theres another camp with interest to hurt the saviors? If you cant produce 13 great episodes a season then cut the show down to 10 episodes...ffs they will do anything to make $
That has been a major problem since season three. They produce 16 episodes a season, not the standard cable 13, or as you said 10 would probably be better. If they'd shorten the seasons and tighten up the story, the show would be so much better. They have too much space to fill right now. It's frustrating.
