North East New Mexico near Raton...on a 50K acre ranch. Very sweet setup, beautiful country. A 6X6...not a huge one but I was mostly meat hunting anyway...I've killed ones with huge racks already...I passed up one bigger because we would have had to quarter it on the mountain side (across a deep canyon) and walk it out...meat might have spoiled before we got it all out...broke this ones neck at 250 yards right against a sunset skyline as he looked back going over a ridge...used a .300 H&H.
