One of the great paradoxes of the 2016 presidential election is that whatever you make of the generation-long course of the American economy, it was the best year of the 21st century in basic pocketbook terms by almost any measure.
And thanks to Donald Trump winning the election, Republicans are suddenly noticing:

He has not taken office yet or done anything that could conceivably merit credit, but data from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta shows that

wages are growing at their fastest pace in eight years. Nobody noticed in the heat of the October campaign, but data released last month also showed that

American wages reached an all-time high point.

A little less than a year from now, we are due for a census report that will show that

median household income is at an all-time high.

So Don The Con inherits a decent economy from the Dems in spite of Repugs implementing austerity at all levels to make the Dems look bad, while the Dems inherited the Banksters Great Depression from the Repugs and Greenspan.

5 ways the census income report misleads us about the real state of the economy

Boutons, the conduit for every obscure article from every lunatic fringe website on the interwebs. Dropping worthless articles that go unread all over the place like a blind dodo bird ting.

Is anyone else totally not surprised to see that boutons gets his info from over-the-cliff left sites like Vox? One of their editors was literally encouraging riots after Trump sent Hillary to get her shine box.

The poll results appear to be fine as far as polls go ( o presidential polling).
The vox spin, per par, is lacking.

Meh. There was a left lean, but I didn't read a whole lot of spin in that article. Feel free to point out what you took issue with.

Nothing wrong with the article really...the economy is rollin along....still, I think a raise in the minimum wage could add fuel to slow growth....the Fed may raise rates soon anyway...

They eschewed the polls, to start. They want to characterize data, they need to show their work.
Knowing what I know about polling methodology, I can build a poll to say anything by simply choosing question wording. Conclusions based on Vox interpretation doesn't cut it.

Increasing the minimum wage to Hilary's 12 or Bernie's 15 will never be allowed by Repugs, who will, with passive compliance from Trash, continue to screw, or at very best ignore, Trash's voters who voted for economic help, along with racism, xenophobia, misogyny.

Repug party has members who talk about abolishing the minimum wage (as govt overreach and anti-free market) and abolishing child labor laws.

slave/red state "right to work" union-busting bull is right-to-work-for-less

Trash is illegally busting unions in Las Vegas.

There's LOTS of solutions to help people, float boats, but Repugs only care about their BigDonors and how to help their BigDonors fleece citizens.

Medicare, Medicaid, SS, CFPB, the "fiduciary rule", FCC, etc, etc will all be screwed up, defunded, or killed.

Repugs will continue their sociopathic austerity at all govt levels.

Trash's voters in economic distress, futureless, aren't all racists, pussy grabbers, etc, but goddam they're ing ignorant and stupid to think Trash is gonna help them.
