Let him enjoy it.. I want Tony to play well TBH... it's foolish to want him to be awful...
I definitely don't want him to play bad. That would just be foolish. The problem with him playing this well against inferior teams is that he tries it against teams with better defense which leads to bad results for the whole team

Yeah, and the Dubs game was clearly fool's gold though we match up well against them. I think we match up well with the Cavs too. The Clips on the other hand...all three of them are scary. I'm not sure we scare any of them, though, especially sans TD.
Warriors are the most punk-able team since the Spurs can maul them inside unlike the Clips/Cavs. If they want to attacked Pau/Softridge on PnRs then they can dare Gaymond to beat them & one of them can hide on Iggy who is looking as washed up as 2013 Turnobili.

Kawhi/Danny is also as good a defensive duo as you can have to check Dominos/Wardell. Just put Porker on Klay & bait him into post-ups which is better than him shooting 3s. The high tempo nature of the game also suits Patty/Simmons.

    Best case scenario:
-Cripples finishing w/ the #1 seed & having to face a relatively healthy Memphis squad in the 2nd rd.
-Duds having to play a relatively healthy Jazz squad in the 1st rd.
-Spurs facing the Rockets in the 1st rd to work on their small-ball defense before they face the Duds.

Spurs have a lot of guards, but no good option beyond Tony as a PG - especially if the team makes it to the playoffs. Might have to move Kyle AND another piece to get a serviceable wing, too. Still holding my breath on Simmons.
Parker/Anderson for Klay Thompson. Move Patty Hearst to the point, bring Ginobli and Green off the bench and search for a pg in the off season.

Exactly how was the Warriors game fools gold when damn near every team they've played has been bullying them down low and crushing them on the offensive glass. Did you see the Warriors vs Raptors the other night? It came on before our game with the Kings. That small ball is about dead since teams figured out adding Durant and taking away 6 role players destroyed the defense. That's why there is talk of moving Thompson, which I was coming before the season started

Agree with this. I like our matchup with the Dubs the most and don't buy into calling that first game a fluke. Danny wasn't even playing too. Spurs gotta hope bad luck continues to get the Clippers but you think at some point they stop choking/having bad luck ala 2011 Mavs.

The difference b/w the Mavs & Clips is that the Clips could be the #1 overall seed over the Duds while the Mavs were a 3rd seed in a conference where the Jefferson Spurs were the #1 seed.

If the Cripples had to face Grizz with the weight of the world on their back then they are bound to meltdown when push comes the shove. The Gasol/Conley PnR is as much of a headache to the Cripples as the Blake/Choke-P3 PnR is to the Spurs now that Gasol is shooting 3s. (Z-Bo also still punks Blake on the block & Conley doesn't back-down from Choke-P3)

Hope nobody helps them and they end up "living & dying" on the splash they did by signing Durant.

I doubt he's traded TBH but I said whatever bc I don't care, it might even be better for Kyle... but I don't see it bc they just don't have depth in their forwards aside of him and Bertans is a rookie with very questionable defense and has been making a lot of mistakes. On top of that he's got an injury history that you can't ignore. And Kyle won't fetch much better than Simmons or the 3 guards at the end of your bench, so you basically make the team worse, FWIW. Pop has also preferred lately to let a guard go for another guard, etc.

They have 3 rookie guards and Simmons... If you want better guards that's the direction to be looking, one of them would need to go.

    Starting line-up starting to jell

Danny Green, welcome back to the NBA, lol

Gasol is starting to look comfortable, what a pick-up (if he arrived two years ago, just imagine the possibilities......)

I have the feeling Lamarcus is a streaky, rhythm scorer, he needs more touches at the start of a game.....

    just my humble opinion
