And folks was laughing at me when I said Thompson is not even the fourth best SG..
That was probably some cause for some safe space.

Since we know pussy San Antonio Media won't ask him, has anybody asked him about these Kobme stretches of super forced bull shots and ballhogging?
Glad it's only in spurts now but WTF, just seems so out of character for Kawhi prior to this seasons past.

Andrew Bogut affect. Avery Bradley (a good defender) is also on that list while Kyle Anderson is leading all NBA shooting guards. Just goes to show you how worthless and deceiving a stat like defensive real plus minus is this early in the season.

Fwiw, Klay Thompson finished last season 37th so obviously he hasn't regressed that badly in one year's time.. Danny Green started off last year pretty atrocious in DRPM as well and he rebounded nicely.

Fat Head actually finished 3rd in DRPM last season: http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/r...RPM/position/2

^ While a single stat can be misleading, like in this case, Anderson's defense is actually quite decent. He's extremely passive offensively and Pop plays him all over the court, from 2 to 4, but he really bothers players with his length and is also quite strong. He bullied Ingram last night.

His per 100 possessions offensive numbers basically mirror Carmelo's '13-'14 season when Melo shot 40% from 3 & ac ulated the highest offensive win-share of his career: http://bkref.com/tiny/DNfnt

Kawhi is shooting a career worst 46% on two-pointers mostly b/c he's been struggling w/ his free-throw line jumper & only shooting 59% at the rim b/c he finishing in traffic more than ever. His FG% should creep up to the high 40s when his elbow jumper starts following consistently. Overall, Kawhi so far has his highest offensive plus/minus of his career.

Defensively, he has a DRtg of 100 which is his highest since his rookie season & his lowest defensive plus/minus of his career by a good margin but considering how the starters have been killed on defense it's not surprising. Although, he has the best defensive rating among the starters along with the most defensive win-shares on the team & only Dedmon has a lower DRtg than Kawhi. Overall, he's rated as the equivalent of '15-'16 Paul George who was All-NBA Defense 2nd team.

DRPM data would be helpful considering that Pau has the best defensive plus/minus among the starters & Kyle is second on the team.
    Nice post
