‘This is what happens when you elect Joffrey’: Internet blasts Trump’s off-the-record media meeting meltdown

President-Elect Don The Con Trash met with 30-40 media heads, “including the big news anchors” from various networks on Monday in an “off-the-record” meeting at Trump Tower that did not go well, the New York Post reported.
    One source told the outlet

“It was like a f*cking firing squad.”

    The source added, “

Trump started with [CNN chief] Jeff Zucker and said

‘I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed.'”

    Another source said,

“Trump kept saying, ‘We’re in a room of liars, the deceitful dishonest media who got it all wrong.'”

    I read that.

That's actually pretty funny. Fact is, for the next 4 years whatever Trump says or does is news and they are going to have to report it whether they like it or not.

CNN: Cost of protecting Trump family in NYC tops $1 million per day, unlikely to change anytime soon

Donald Trump has already notified his advisors that he plans to alternate back and forth between Trump Tower, the White House and his Florida Mar-A-Lago estate.

According to CNN, the cost of protecting Donald Trump in New York City is already topping $1 MILLION PER DAY:

Protecting President-elect Donald Trump and his family is costing New York City more than $1 million a day, according to three city officials.

That expense won't be going down anytime soon:

That's because Melania Trump and their 10-year old son Barron expect to stay at their home at Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan, at least until the end of the school year.

And Donald Trump has indicated he plans to return home regularly, especially while they're still here.

Adding to the expense is the cost of police assigned to Trump's adult children and his grandchildren, who are also receiving Secret Service protection, John Miller, NYPD's deputy commissioner of intelligence & counterterrorism, told WCBS Monday.

All of them live in the city, and all are en led to receive Secret Service protection.

Aside from endless street closures for the Trump motorcades, New Yorkers are going to be stuck with a large part of that bill:

The city has sought and received reimbursement for protecting world leaders in the past, such as when heads of state visit the United Nations, de Blasio said.

City records show it received $26 million in reimbursements for such expenses in the 12 months ending June 30, or about $500,000 a week. But the fact that the city will need to protect Trump on an ongoing basis is unprecedented, de Blasio said.

"This makes [previous protection efforts] look quite small obviously," he said. "We'll have to establish a new set of ground rules."

I think Mr. Trump is trying to condition us to accept the idea that he is going to be profiting off of his presidency. The president doesn't get paid that much relative to most big time CEOs; therefore he wants us to accept this as a cost of having his self-proclaimed "genius" working on our behalf.

He already said it would take only $1 as Pres salary (but pocket $Bs from exploiting his Presidency)

It's not a great idea to make enemies with the news media. A lot of them are going to be looking to take him down by finding something to get him impeached.

‘F*ck him!’: Media bigwig ‘emotionally f*cking pissed’ after bullying Trump tried to influence press

“The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing-down,”

Sources told The New Yorker that television anchors, reporters and executives expected to discuss why the president-elect had not held a news conference since July, but were instead subjected to a barrage of insults and complaints.

“I have to tell you, I am emotionally f*cking pissed,” one participant told The New Yorker. “How can this not influence coverage? I am being totally honest with you.”

Sources told the magazine that Trump’s criticisms weren’t entirely rational, and they were concerned that he didn’t seem to understand policy any better after his election.

Trump also expressed petty jealousy at perceived favorable coverage President Barack Obama has received from the media.

One participant reminded the real estate developer and former reality TV star that all presidents and presidential candidates sometimes believe they receive unfair coverage, Trump yelped, “Not Obama!”

Participants said Trump also boasted of his “great” relationship with Obama, whom he now “loves” despite questioning the cir stances of his birth for years.

Trump’s behavior during the meeting — and his apparent reasons for calling it — were deeply troubling from a cons utional perspective.

“He truly doesn’t seem to understand the First Amendment,” the source said. “He doesn’t. He thinks we are supposed to say what he says and that’s it.”

Not only did he question whether Obama was born in this country but he also tried to question whether Obama ever attended school at Columbia.

Trump improvised his way to the presidency, bull was his biggest weapon. In and of itself that's an amazing historical feat.

Should he fail to deliver the promised jobs, prosperity and greatness, the disappointment will be of similarly historic proportions.

Nothing different from what they would have done before the meeting.

The media butthurt is hilarious. A POTUS actually got elected with their hyperbolic opposition and the impotent frustration is eating them up.

Trump's hyperbole resonated with voters, Clinton's did not.

Is this going to be the lazy default response to any dissent moving forward?

Your President-Elect just told a deliberate, quantifiable lie. That should "trigger" everyone.
