Huge win, but that was so unlucky for HOU. I feel for them. They outplayed OAK.
OAK offense did enough with the big plays, but HOU really played well on offense overall.
Can't wait to whoop the Raiders ass next week SMH what a joke
Terrible calls every ing week and you get fined for calling the ass league out
good comparison. We're winning a lot of 50/50 games this year.
There can be lots of bad teams that have great Yards per play diff. Very little (basically 0) great teams are league worst in that regard.
If Patriots vs Raiders is the AFCCG, gotta be the biggest bet of my life
Go Raiders on that bet....NE secondary is godawful, and nobody can block Mack on the other side.
You think it was a good game? You happy with that performance?
If not for a TD blown call and two bad spots, your team chokes.
L to the O to the L
they played like and came up with a win because the QB is clutch as . and it was a joy reading your hating posts all game long only to see them win
I didn't say they wouldn't win. I said they were playing terrible and didn't look ready to seize a big moment. I said they would not rise to the occasion and I don't think they did.
Was my post really hating or was it the truth? I was not dogging them unfairly. You yourself said they played like .
yeah, pussiest decision ever and I'm happy it got slammed right back in his face. Conservative football is losing football... ESPECIALLY when you're already losing on the ing scoreboard. Just GO FOR IT you pussy s, jeezus!
they won a game with big fourth quarter plays, two touchdowns.... how's that not rising to the occasion?
So then how can you say they played like ? If you play like , just having wild luck and a couple of good plays does not mean you rose. It means you did enough to get lucky and win.
You may think a team can be graded as " " and still "rise". That's fine. I personally do not. If the calls aren't blown they don't "rise".
they played one of their worst games of the season and were still able to come away with a win. they played like crap for 3+ quarters, and rose up when it mattered and made big plays in the 4th.
carr ends up with about 300 yards, 3 TD's (and that one awful, awful interception) in a game with countless drops... crabtree with a drop on an easy open first down, roberts dropping a deep ball, and crabtree not hanging on for what would have been a long touchdown. that says something about him, too. speaking of drops, defense dropped 2 clean, easy INT's as well
i do think the refs blew the call on the 3rd down before the 4th and inches play, though. they shoulda challenged the 3rd down play imo
i dont feel bad at all, btw, this was supposed to be a home game and we traveled farther than our opponents did. that

I guess saying to feel bad after a win is a bit much, but it was a pretty trashy game. One that everyone universally agrees they deserved to lose.
I was not dogging Carr at all - I was dogging this defense mostly and then the lack of focus with the drops. I may have been harsh but I don't think I was unfair.
Patriots D just made Kaepernick look like a Pro Bowler. NE has no way of stopping Oakland, while defensively Oakland can get constant pressure on Brady, which is how you stop him.
i think when you can play a poor game and still find a way to win, that's a good sign. as opposed to dysfunctional teams like the chargers who can play a really good game and manage to lose.
the raiders defense has been pretty bad for most of the year... somethin like 5 bad games and 3 decent games. i dont think they're AFC contenders (NE and healthy Pitt probably obliterate them) but it's hard not to be thrilled when they're 8-2 and haven't made the playoffs in 15 years
I would agree w/ the first part if there weren't the blown calls (a literal touch down and crucial spot late). If you play rough and struggle but come back when needed yes. But OAK was gifted that stuff (which may or may not matter to some people in evaluting the outcome).
Luckily for the Raiders the Pats and Steelers (if they even make it) prolly end up in the same bracket. Even then I still would take the Raiders with how vulnerable NE has looked and how injury prone PIT has been the past few years; even healthy they've looked mediocre this year as well. Raiders should be more wary of a healthy Denver team or even Houston if they make it.
