The team went soft. The only people who showed up were Kyle and Matty. It's basketball. You know... NASA just discovered 1200 new planets

the next low: getting bounced by Pringles and the Rockets from 3-0 series lead![]()

Burke lashing out at his shtick with subtle feminist goods..dat aura is gone![]()
TGY holdin it down as usual.![]()
Completely forgot about bumping this thread
Thanks bruh![]()
TBH he is going to have to tone down the media-bully shtick because his team has stopped winning like couple years ago and won't likely do again for the foreseeable future..
2013 Heat?
I don't know what game you were watching. Kyle 13 minute mile Anderson was atrocious
He was being sarcastic.
I always wondered who would have won Finals MVP if Pop hadn't screwed up game 6.

He's done, 2014 took all the energy from him.
It's arguable whether he's "done" or not, but it's clear that you can no longer consider him a clear "mismatch" in the Spurs' favor like you could in the past..
if carlisle was coaching '16 spurs, do they get past the thunder?
You would think so.
But I think in his mind his thinks his 5 gives him a career never ending bully schtick pulpit.
Plus with the Olympics foolishly hiring him....
Duncs hands down with the cherry topper of 30/17 and great D.
Carlisle would sweep with a roster this loaded![]()
"One of these days, it will be like the middle of the third quarter or something like that, and I’ll see him walking toward the exit. It will be like it just hit him, like, ‘I’m done.’ As soon as he does that, I’ll be 10 steps behind. Because I’m not stupid.” — Popovich on Duncan’s looming retirement.
Welp...
Bump..
This senile isn't even Top 5 coach in NBA anymore, i can say that confidentlyPERIOD..
His momentum-killing, rest-obsessing, ty-lineup trotting, game-blowing subs utions is the most disgusting coaching trait of any contenders or fringe contender coach in the league..
When a redhot Kawhi was about to blow open the game by himself at the end of 3rd he pulls him for next 10 minutes resulting a 11-0 run Hornets while he watches by closely not even bothering with a TO..
Yep you were watching the same game I was. Pop thinks he could "coach" 5 guys from ST to the playoffs.![]()
Well I posted it in the game thread, so I won't repeat. But that sorry-ass sequence at the end of the game convinced me. Pop always stressed discipline and attention to detail. He doesn't have the fire to deliver those things himself anymore. He should have left with Duncan.
I've argued when people complain about his lineups. But that? That was ing unforgivable and inattentive. You can't be a great team without paying attention for 48 minutes. He's said so himself too many times.
The Hornets simply self-sabotaged and Danny hit 2 timely threes..Otherwise, that sequence would have lost the game against any other good team. The reg season Mad Scientist bull doesn't fly anymore..He did the same ish in the game that ushered out Tim Duncan to his retirement last May..
Welp. I am on vacation and checked the spurs app in my phone... Close game and ai didn't watch it but to me the team has problems on defense.
i never lose hope and enthusiasm for my team but they are obviously on defense not what they were last season and its obvious they aren't blowing teams out like last season either. I was surprised that in a ge in which he scored 11 points in 10 minutes on 100% shooting bertans was still a -4 and didn't grab a single board, Simmons is scoreless again. I think the team needs Dedmon obviously...
i can't say I would look this one up online to watch it after the fact...
You know better than to look to the +/- to decide how a bench player performed. Without him, they lose this game. He made a in' block. Overall, he played well.
Simmons is working hard to pass the ball and get other players shots. He may be over-thinking at times, but he's working on the right things. He had a couple of good assists (one GREAT assist) and a couple of boards in 13 minutes.
BTW - Kawhi had 30 points on 67% shooting, and he was only +7, while Pau was +10. Just say no to the +/-.
Pop always has this "I want us to win with the perception that I coached this team to win sp he almpst always will bench a guy he thinks is about to go nuclear.
