But... can he shoot a mid range jumper???
I can see some real good positives about this team compared to last years team.
But... can he shoot a mid range jumper???
I don't know if you're joking or not. We don't need more DWorst jumpers in the playoffs.![]()
X factor against the dubs IMO
david lee does EVERYTHING better than West
Enforcer?
What the did he enforce?
Enforce the notion that he sucks?
David West was great during last year's RS, tbh..
I like David Lee's game so far.....
btw, i hope the Pistons defeat the clippers today
This year's version of the Spurs is worse all the same.
It's too early to tell..last year the Spurs was destroying team in the early part of regular season with 15 pts point differential!!![]()
Fell off a cliff after February.
Lee is so active on the glass its impressive. Even the ones he can't get, he still tips the ball out. He also chases long rebounds down which is something last year's team sorely missed.
Most knowledgeable girl poster on this board by a huge ing margin. It's not even fair.![]()
neither could west.
West is such a fake tough guy.
Lee is a positive for me .... better decision making after getting an offensive rebound would be welcome though
Lee is too damned short to out-wrestle legit bigs for rebounds under the basket. He's not going to get in and root out a big man for position. But he's quick, and smart, and he's really good about stealing the exact right position after the ball is in the air. (As opposed to big guys who just occupy a space and then react when the ball is on the way down.)
He gets a lot of long caroms because he anticipates well, and gets to the right spot early. I made the mistake of saying that he's not a good rebounder in the pre-season. He's a very good rebounder for his size. In the playoffs, there's a good chance that the Spurs will face teams with full-sized bigs who are also good rebounders. He's going to struggle against those guys, just like West did. West was just enough bigger and heavier that he tried to wrestle with those bigger guys. Most people apparently don't understand that West's Per36 rebounding numbers last year were about the same as for the rest of his career. I think Lee is just a lot better at understanding his limitations and playing to his strengths - which is a good thing.
But for his entire career, Lee has just not been a good shooter outside of close range. Yeah he makes some, but his percentages don't lie. He's never been a mid-range guy. If he does that this year, it will be something new.
I saw west struggle vs all the legit teams despite his rebounding numbers. Lee doesn't have that weakness. At least not from my perspective. I'm confident. Lee can produce rebounds in the Playoffs. I'm 90% right about my takes. Not many posters can say that about themselves.
He still sucked at rebounding.![]()
Among active players only Kevin Love has a higher career defensive rebound % than David Lee among PFs. He's ranked ahead of Z-Bo:
D-Worst meanwhile is ranked below Josh Smith:![]()
David West was a good player but got old. I swear you guys would trash your own mothers if they lost their usefulness to you.
