Well, just imagine if your team lost by 1 on a missed PAT. Would you not for one moment ask, "Did they really have to change that rule?"
it always made sense. imagine the nba automatically gave you the 3rd point on an and-1 instead of shooting a FT. having a kicker that cant constantly make 32 yarders should cost you
well, it's the same for everybody and making the game harder while not making it less interesting sounds a good trend to me.
Imagine if the NBA let you shoot a layup for the and-one for 95 years, and then suddenly started implementing free throws. That's what this is like.
