Yeah, I concur at this juncture.
The W/L sucks, but it's the same broken record. ..."if we just could get an average defense. ..."
I can't help but feel like it's coming soon with Gibbs...

Here's a video circulating today that I think is worth a quick look.
This is a small example of the "details" that Herman will be changing when it comes to social media, game day experience, etc.
Wait, didn't I hear this same thing when Charlie arrived
Much of it for sure, but somehow the team became softer under Strong and they seemed to care more about him than being a great football player or having that love for UT.
I think a big difference will be things like the open-door policy where guys could hang out around Strong's office.
I think they'll love Herman, but it's going to be a lot more business-like and much less buddy-buddy.
Because longhorn fan needs to be even more sold on Herman's greatness
Is Aranda in our out, would someone please or get off the pot.
Just offer the dude 3 million and get it over with. Basically means he would be with Texas for a very very long time as few schools can offer him a head coaching gig that pays that much. He is going to have to take a pay cut if he wants a head gig at a lesser school.
Dude, it's LSU. They'll this up. Give them time.
24/7 saying Baylor is moving on from their negotiations with Chad Morris.
One of the reasons seems to be Morris having his eye on a potential A&M opening in 2017.
New canddiates are s (Cal), Fedora (North Carolina) and MacIntyre (Colorado).
Hate the idea of only two OL, no matter what your depth looks like.
What if he ends up sucking and we can't fire him a la Kevin Sumlin?
I think Herman may be a manipulator coach who likes the very personal practices. This means creating compe ion through animosity. I think he is the type of coach who enjoys a practice where everyone is pissed. I get that feeling. There are still quite a few coaches who thrive on these techniques. Lots of fights, lots of pissed off people. Practice with anger. Anger creates maximum effort. It's different than what I perceived from Charlie.
Could be wrong, but I don't think so.
Something about Herman...
So many Texas fans with...."see see ya hire a black head coach and look what happens". I doubt we ever see another black head coach at Texas.
And, ya don't really want to clean house like Strong did, ya want all the badasses ya can get. And no it's not about....developing young men....it's about winning foootball games.
Why would anyone of note want that job lol
Nobody here said that. I doubt you found anybody at all on the Internet that said that.
This is the one thread I hoped this old fart would never enter.
.
Per Inside Texas, UT will see RB Eno Benjamin of Wylie East tomorrow.
Herman did offer while at Houston.
Well they're both from the urban Meyer coaching tree.
I guess we'll see
Also from Inside Texas, LB Baron Browning may be pushing his announcement date back even though he hasn't heard from Texas yet.
He's supposed to be committing tomorrow, but they think Texas is still the place he really wants to be.
The thing that helps Herman is the ties he has with the Texas program itself. I'm not sure if that was ever something Charlie had, i.e. the knowledge of the program or the confidence of the boosters that he 'got it' and understood what Texas football was all about.
I missed this earlier this morning, but Inside Texas is hearing the potential RB coach is known as an excellent recruiter.
They say Texas fans will be very excited if it happens.
OrangeBloods confirms Herman will not be retaining any of Strong's assistants.
Each one of them met with Herman this morning for about 10 minutes.
And he's also got recruiting ties in this state which is something Charlie always seemed to struggle with
Yeah I'd have been surprised otherwise.
