Roxette - yep...duo from Sweden. Generally soft generic vocals with an obvious pop sensibility to the music. Many dismiss them as an Abba derivative but this is mostly due to the shared country of origin and not the musical stylings.

Eric Clapton has called Blind Willie the greatest slide guitarist ever. Not sure about that but his combination of lyrics, gruff vocals and that slide work is why he has a tune on a record out in space, just in case the aliens come across us and have record players, ha~~~~~~~~~~~~

We'd just walked over the bridge above " River" when we heard....
