Per Scout, the Texas staff is trying very hard to get an in-home visit with RB JK Dobbins of La Grange.
Boyce and Thompson going after RB Eno Benjamin.
A few random coaching notes from OrangeBloods...
-Sterlin Gilbert will be interviewing with UCLA for their open OC position.
-Jake Spavital of Cal will be interviewing for head coach at San Jose State...UT plays them in Week 2 next season.
DE Taquon Graham after meeting with Coach Giles earlier this evening (Scout):
"Giles is that man, I'm ready to come in and play."
Would Stidham still have all of his eligibility left?
He should have two years left, no?
I would think Stidham would have 3 years left plus a redshirt. Then again if he didn't play much he might have 4 full years left and no redshirt.
"Get a wig-check son and lose some weight"
Looks like 3 full years left.
Also looks like Florida is pushing hard to get him.
He should have three since the JUCO he enrolled at for the fall semester doesn't have football.
He's headed to Auburn today and I feel like that's where he ultimately lands.
There have been rumors for months that Stidham and Briles' son, Kendal, would be a package deal to Auburn and their current OC, Lashlee, looks to be out the door.
He'd be a fool to come back. Get paid.
That's not how I read it. Why would you being your statement with "despite agent reports"? You only say "despite" in this context if you're about to contradict said "reports"... I think he is coming back. His brother is there and they probably gave him the Ricky Williams pitch. Ricky got drafted very high so it didn't hurt him coming back one year and winning the Heisman.
I would be Highly, HIGHLY surprised if he's back. Yesterday I saw on OB that his Mom made some comments on Facebook that lead me to believe the meeting with Herman did not go well at all.
Foreman was gone even if Strong was brought back. He's about to make life changing money for his whole family. All that can change in one play.
agreed. We got lucky with Ricky, but no everyone is like Ricky.
Colt came back as well and VY says he regrets going pro early but I think he did because he thought the Houston Texans would pick him #1.
