I'd say stoking social antagonism is more demagogic than genius, but this is more or less a semantic quibble.
Trump is stocking his administration with mainline Republicans for the most part, but blue collar swing state voters who thought they'd get change might not be pleased with that.
As with Obama, the element of change has been oversold not a little..
