Whomever enters has got a super tough job in that it most likely interim as it involves a thorough sterilization of Waco. They apparently still don't get it at Baylor.
I don't think he's a good fit for the Big XII. You need to be pretty offensive minded in the Big XII conference. Miles' style of play is like Mack's in his last years at UT.

At this point for Baylor the style of play is irrelevant.
They need a name coach that will come in, put out the dumpster fire, spray hand sanitizer everywhere and at least attempt to legitimize the football program.
4-5 years down the road, then you can fire him and bring in a high flying up and coming coach.
Interesting take. If that's the plan, then I guess it would be an ok hire but I doubt he would even make it 4-5 years TBH. It just seems like a bad fit.
He turned around a struggling OkieSt program.
What they need and what they can get at this point may be two completely different things. You may be correct but don't see it happening and think they will need to go after a top assistant or lower level HC.
Go get him Baylor!
Super happy for the kid. From a reject, package deal, 2 star, or whatever you want to call it to one of the greatest RBs ever at UT. Did he just kick off one of Cedric Benson or Jamaal Charles from the Texas Mount Rushmore of RBs? I think that he did.
yeah I don't really see it happening either. It's just what I would do if I was Baylor.
They'll probably get a relatively unknown coach who will struggle mightily in recruiting and the Bears will slide back down to the bottom of the conference where they were pre-Briles
I think he booted Charles off, imo.
Since there are four head on Mt Rushmore, I'd gather we are talking about the top 4 RBs in Texas history.
Earl, Ricky, ???, ???
Other contenders: Ced Benson, Jamal Charles, Eric Metcalf, Roosevelt Leaks, James Saxton, Chris Gilbert, Steve Worster and D'onta Foreman.
My top 4 are Earl, Ricky, D'Onta, and Jamal.
I could live with your list. However, I'm kind of partial to Earl, Ricky, Jamal and Eric Metcalf. Taking nothing away from D'onta, but I just remember Metcalf as a do everything back. He didn't have the rushing yards, but he was a of rusher and a really good pass catcher.
No Jonathon Gray or Butch Hadnot (I'm kidding)
Crazy how little love that Cedric Benson gets. Must be his personality
Nobody likes Roy Williams either and he's arguably the best receiver that Texas has ever suited up.
Lancaster WR and TCU commit Omar Manning's last follow on Twitter was to Tom Herman...random but interesting nonetheless.
Per Scout, Texas is having in-home visits currently with RB Toneil Carter (Georgia Commit), WR Mannie Netherly (LSU Commit), and DL L. Carson (UT Commit)
Great catch Hook-em 88! You stalking???![]()
24/7 saying UT coaches visited Blinn earlier today.
There's a rumor that CB Kendall Sheffield was offered.
Earl and Ricky were good multiple years. The others mentioned by Vito are very significant IMO. Leaks was awesome. Cedric got into too much trouble. That drunk boating accident just one of a number of things.
No one will take over Earl. Especially after his pro years turning Houston into a legit contender. And the highlite reals are ungodly.
Thanks to all for the constant updates during this very important period.
This is the one forum I can read endlessly.
Well then people leaving Benson out of their top 4 will have to explain because I think it's a no brainer that he's on Rushmore
