Once every 6 games, sure. Just gotta realize, when he's not being maestro to tone down on the idea that he can still dictate that many PnR touches.

I have to agree with you.. but I guess one has to enjoy these performances. I suspect when he retires we will be missing him same as Timmy... that being said, you are right, this is not a nightly occurrence.

Dude was headed for a Ditka night but Pop-- the moron he is per in par-- extinguished his own player hot hand and let Wizards regain momentum by sitting him immediately instead of starting the fourth ..the best play-making sequences he's had since the 2014 Finals was in that 3rd quarter..

I was a season ticket holder during the Iceman's career and never missed a home game most years. I always knew that Ice would make at least one impossible shot during every game that was worth the price of the ticket. Manu is in much the same mold but he adds the impossible pass to the package.

Both players possessed that undefinable attribute we call 'star quality' that makes fans like me want to pay the price of a expensive night out, 41 + games a year.

I've responded to this a couple times already.

    1. Manu did start the 4th. He came out after a couple minutes for Green.

    2. The Spurs had a 6 point lead, and Simmons getting 2 FTS. Once Manu came out, they had an 8 point lead

    3. It's as obvious as it can be that he brought him out early so he could close the game with him on the court. Or would it have made more sense to keep him in, then take him out when he's tired and there's still 5+ mins left in the game, and he has to be on the bench? There'd surely be more whining on here about that.

    4. Are you seriously expecting Manu to play a whole freaking quarter at his age? You see him getting to that 30min Mark in a meaningless December game?

If 4 is what your issue is, then it's your expectations that are off, and you don't have the big picture in mind like Pop does.
