Still a round 2 exit unless Lamarcus becomes the next Tim Duncan (not on D but on O and
Passing tbh)

I have confidence in his offensive game but the guy is so ing passive nowadays.Hard to believe that this is the same guy who was putting up 40+ and 10 in the playoffs.
LMA is as likely to become as proficient a passer as Tim as he is to become Tim on D!
Yeah and last year we were 67-15. Your point?
Every win is fools gold.
Every loss is exposing our true gutless worm nature. You know how it is on ST.
We are having a fine season but the wins are too close. I get it helps us come playoff time but we are barely beating scrub teams (see: mavs).
The good news is we kick ass on the road. I think we'll get to at least the WCF this year
Our point differential was outrageous last season to the point where we really didn't have to win a bunch of close games, and it probably caught up with us in the postseason, tbh.
Just ing win by hook or by crook.
Does the term "fool's gold" mean anything to you? It's great that the Spurs are only one game back, but they're playing horrible at times. If they don't start playing better and more consistent throughout games, they're not going anywhere. If you've been a fan of the Spurs for a long, long time (20+ years), then you know what a Championship team looks like. The Spurs do not look anything like a Championship team right now. They've gotta play much, much better than this.
No doubt we have a long way to go and a lot that needs work. That being said, I'm enjoying watching the team trying to find its way. I don't think anyone expected a team with this many new or near new players to be world beaters coming out of the gate. We are just getting going and if we steadily improve and keep healthy I can see us doing pretty well. At least we don't have to worry about peaking too soon.
Yeah, I'm not saying the team can't get there, I'm just saying they are a long way off right now and will have to improve a lot to get there.
Anyone that sees the record and thinks we're a Championship level team, they're wrong. If the playoffs started today, we'd have no chance. Luckily it's still early, and it's great to have this record with how poorly the Spurs have played. Lots of room for improvement. I hope they can get there.

Safe space poster acting up.
December 4. Calm down you goobers. If we're still playing like this on March 4, then I'll start to worry.
Wasn't this exact same thread made a couple weeks ago?
: "He has now gotten over himself."
GroundhogTalk tbh
Clippers lost to the Pacers at home, so Spurs have a bit of a cushion at the two spot. I can also see the Spurs losing to the Bucks though. Their length and athleticism always gives us trouble.
Trouble with the Bucks is certainly true and tonight's game will be challenging. I'm hoping they will play better than their last game. The Bucks will be real....
we have some nice wins on the road (GS, Charlotte, even Boston), but that record is a result of a cupcake schedule ... 1-1 against really good teams
Doesnt mean much due to teams, but my take is always that we have a chance this year just by being a match-up problem against Gsw.
This record is kinda inflated like last year, the league is globally ty... There are 2 super teams and 2 good teams, the rest is crap, no surprises our record looks good... Now if healthy and we stay at #2 spot we go to WCF against dubs imho
Now compared to last year, what is worrisome is how atrocious is our defense tbh... and we had some takes on ST saying for this team Tim retiring was kinda good thing![]()
His offense sucked. I'm not gonna sugar coat .![]()
We all know Spurs are getting punk'd by some whiny, floppy team of mid range chuckers come playoffs, unless LaMarcus remembers the importance of motivation and fitness, and the team is able to guard anybody that is actually trying to score.
I've always wondered why many of you just insist on how bad the team is year after year. Are you that worried about possibly being wrong? I mean how hard is it to say this team won't win it all when only 1 team wins each season.
