Did you like it better than Dark Souls 3?
Santa Monica Studios has said they're not making any demos because it costs them time towards developing the actual game. So all you're going to see from it is that E3 demo.
Did you like it better than Dark Souls 3?
Right, basically killing Gamestop's business model. Microsoft has done a ton of backpedaling when it comes to the XBone.
Damn I forgot about that. That is unforgivable as long as they're producing systems using physical media.
Gotta be one of the worst launches I have ever seen.
Damn this new Uncharted game looks badass
Didn't they fix most of their initial mistakes though? Also, they got the pro coming out which should close the gap from a technical standpoint. Either way, i've always been a gameplay first type of guy, maybe that's why the dualshock 4 irks me so much. On the subject of technical performance, if the differences between both systems aren't extremely noticeable, i really don't care.
The XBox Scorpio should destroy the PS4 Pro on a technical level, especially if they use a Zen-based cpu. I can't imagine that system would only be $400 though. If they do a Zen cpu + Vega gpu that system will be a complete steal at $600 assuming you don't already have a strong gaming PC. It'll be disappointing if they keep the crappy Jaguar cpu that XB1/PS4/PS4Pro use though, because the Vega gpu it's supposed to launch with is something that will be pretty damn high end: probably something a little lower in power than the GTX 1070 which sells for $380 right now.
I have always liked the Sony controllers, except for the original PS3 Sixaxis that felt so light and cheap. I don't think the XBox exclusives are as good as Playstation though. Gears of War is nice, but Halo and Forza don't interest me at all.
Damn, just played London Heist and Farpoint.... holy ing !
This VR stuff is for ing real.
VR for me is a no-go until they figure out how to keep you from getting sick in intense driving games, flying games, or first person style games where you can move around (eg not just look around or teleport). For example, I saw a review by Digital Foundry for The Vanishing of Ethan Carter on Occulus and dude got sick after 10-15 minutes and had to change it from walking mode to teleporting mode. Switching to teleport mode seems like it would completely break the immersion. I have no doubts VR is going to be awesome, but I'm going to pass on being an early adopter.
Farpoint took a bit to get used to because of that, the fact that you're walking but really standing there. But the whole experience, with headphones and stuff is sick as . The London Heist one though, I played the demo you're sitting in the car shooting people, its un- ing-believable...
BTW, one of the games there was Horizon Zero Down, and John Gonzalez did the design on it. He was doing an autograph session too. That guy was a designer for Fallout: New Vegas. So I now have high expectations for that le.
Did you play Horizon? Does it feel like it's going to be a must buy?
I didn't, but everything about it looks rather impressive. They even had a miniature version of the game monster there. Gonna keep an eye on it.
Yeah, kind of. The problem is that tge two came out so close to each other that all think about when I try to remember Dark Souls 3 is Bloodborne.
Aren't you one of those higher ups that get gears for free? Help a brother out, hook me up with one of those.![]()
I still have a PS3
Right now all I'm recommending is people to try it out, tbh. Here's a link to places you can go and try it out:

The other day Santa Monica Studios said they have the new God of War far enough along that it's playable from beginning to end. Hopefully that means we get a Fall 2017 release.
That also means its gonna be a short game which sucks. I was hoping we could explore and do at least a semi open world.
I could stand to wait until 2018. 2017 Will be so stacked I dont know if I can get them all.
God of War games have never been open world. If you're into big open world games you should 100% be a PC gamer.
I dont know. The vibe I got from that E3 trailer had some open world aspect to it. Like gained this or that ability. Picked this or that power and like that.
But no, I'm not really into big open world games like Skyrim anymore. Those days are gone for me.
So is anyone playing Nioh today for the two day preview? (it's for today and tommorow) I just got finished downloading it and am about to jump on. I didn't know it was made the same devs that did the incredible XBox Ninja Gaiden.
How was it? Do you need PS plus?
Mine expires tomorrow and I dont plan to buy a new subscription till maybe late Feb when Horizon dawn is released...
I only did the tutorial and then my dog started hammering me to go on a walk. When I got back I started playing Bloodborne again, that game is so ing addictive. So I don't know if it's any good.![]()
