they just lost derrick johnson for the season (and possibly career) with an achilles. their defense notably played worse down the stretch with him out, particularly against the run

the only manner carr's injury affects him is that he's currently unable to take snaps from center.
his throwing accuracy and velocity had been fine in buffalo, and even after coming back from the locker room in carolina. he played poorly, no excuses. but the receivers weren't doing him any favors either. many drops, and cooper inexplicably stumbling when he got free for a deep ball
