surprise..surprise ..That's why micromanaging is such horrible flaw in the Pop of recent years...

Playing with a lead is more comfortable for the bench; and eventually those extra 2-3 minutes of rest you're trying to buy for your star(s) you will get them back at the end of the game when it is already been put to bed..

It's pretty inexcusable for him to yank a hot Kawhi like he did in the Charlotte game when we're about to wrest control of it, especially road ones as opposing teams get fuelled by home crowds against deer-in-headlights- bench unit..

Dude, against OKC TD played great in the little minutes he played. And in game 6, it was evident he was a better option than West...But pop micromanages so much that he outcoaches himself.

People dont realize your superstars are humans too...benching and getting them in and out so much ruins their damn rhytem.

To be fair to pop, he's only second to Bud who is probably the micromanaging king. Dude subs Millsap in and out 4-5 in he first half.

Pop lost us the series here..Duncan goes to the bench straight after blocking Russ (Spurs lead 85-80 in G5 4:37 left) ..

Wolves are also trash in the 2nd half but yes, Leonard needs to play more instead of being yanked for bull all the time or coddled on the bench like he's 35 instead of 25

Wolves have been outscored 139 pts in 3rds Qs this year(29th in the league). Not that big of a surprise we blew the game open in the 3rd.

But yes, it'd be nice if Pop stopped micromanaging. At this point I think we have to concede he is who is, though.

"Riding the hot hand". A must for any coach that doesn't try to outsmart himself.

It is such frustrating thing with Pop since he got drunk on the"rest shtick" the last half decade, even in the playoffs..

Some games he keeps Kawhi in for long stretches and sometimes he takes him out at odd times. Part of me wonders if Pop is using minutes as a way to motivate or discipline him at points in a game as opposed to yelling at him the way he does with guys like Danny Green or Parker. Maybe he feels Kawhi will respond better to sitting than he would to an ass chewing? Purely speculation though.

But whatever the reason, Kawhi is on my fantasy team so I HATE it when he gets pulled!

He's cost us a lot of series and even a finals with his bull . But since he has 5 les(and 3 against 3 of the worst teams to ever play in an NBA finals) we're not supposed to criticize him. I just wonder how many more years are the front office going to allow him to us over with his experimenting to make himself look like a genius
