-Phoenix in general has a lot of really nice young(ish) pieces. If they are looking to offload LMA at some point soon they would be a great trading partner.
Pipe dream of LMA or Gasoft for Booker + whatever else to make it work $$.

Wow. You need to look into taking a booster dose of your meds if you're going to stay up after midnight and post stuff.

Look, I know what you're thinking. "If these assholes keep giving Tony good grades, Pop will think he's playing good and NEVER make Patty the starting PG!" And you're right. Pop listens to everyone here but you. But what you don't understand is that most of us here get paid by Tony to post good stuff about him. We don't really give a damn that Tony is the worst PG in the history of the NBA, or that the Spurs would coast to another Championship if only Patty was starting. As long as Tony keeps his job, we get paid.

There. The truth is out. It's just what you always thought.

Thanks for the game grades, OP. Probably the best grades that we've seen at Spurstalk all year. It's nice to see people who actually contribute to the forum.

Of course, they won't win many games against elite teams with this guy's defense either.

Actually think Pau did a good job there. Can't expect an old big to stay with a guard forever, and Pau was all right for a good couple of seconds.

Just watched the game, Suns are so bad outside of Bledsoe and Dudley, tbh..

As I've been saying since last year, Devin Booker is the most overrated prospect in recent NBA history

I hate these basketball hipsters that prematurely hype these scrubs based on 1 or 2 nice games, or overall aesthetics..he has a below-50% TS, this season, a "shooter" shooting 32% from 3

If he ever reaches his ceiling, it'll be nothing more than Bradley Beal..

The Suns decline has been pretty fascinating to watch..they had a ton of assets and possibilities just 3 years ago(approximately), and they blew it all up with very little in return..

    The offense was balanced tonight.
Kawhi and Pau 12 FGA, LMA 11, Parker 8...But I'm not sure if Pau/Parker getting almost the same shots than Kawhi/LMA duo will give us many wins in the season.

It's fine against the Suns but the Spurs needed a lot of offense from Kawhi and LMA to beat the Warriors, if these two players can't get the ball more than the old starting combo, we won't beat the Clippers this season.

Of course, they won't win many games against elite teams with this guy's defense either.
I assume the tall white guy can shoot threes; otherwise that's bad d by Parker.

Key part bout LA's offence were most if not all of his points came in the paint since his jumper wasnt falling . The guy didnt settle, worked hard for his scores & in the 4th stepped up on both ends.

    Thanks for the grades

I think that was Bender and he's a "threat" for the 3.
    Not a big threat... however.

I think the problem is, he could have done more damage in the post.
He was guarded by kids, for much of the game.

Then Parker should've hedged instead of led the lane that open.

Work in progress. Spacing is hurting inside/outside game on LA postups. Case in point. Pop ripping Simmons for hanging out near center court when LA was looking for an outlet. The only players that understand where to be are DG & Patty. The latter missing a few open threes from LA passing out

That may be the case but he also looked tentative and made many mistakes. Youre right its a work in progress but LMA needs to earn his touches by doing other stuff like rebounding and blocking out, just make his presence felt. Also as mentioned he needs to stop with the turn arounds all the time. Hes got a good free throw average for a big guy but he never gets to the line because he doesnt take it to the hole. Good thing we're winning so he has time to figure it out.

Part is on Parker, part on the switches, most part in Parker-Gasol defense combined...Spurs won't get many chances against elite teams this season if Pop insists on playing those two guys together that much.
