I don't think its crony when you are saving a whole industry...
national industrial policy. the auto industry is global. if foreign firms ran their companies better, didn't they deserve to win?

free trade isn't free if you protect the home court.

IN FOR A PENNY IN FOR A POUND: why limit yourself to particular firms when you can get a whole sector, management and workers alike, on your side. that's mega-cronyism.

Perhaps the most troubling is the Obama Administration took a back seat while the GOP dismantled Voting and Civil rights of minorities...
wasn't in its purview. SCOTUS, a coequal branch of government, set that ball rolling.

It means Obama was a short fix. But it eventually will grow bad habits for the country. Laziness that will weaken us. Just like a bad diet.
    Laziness with respect to what?

Maybe, but it was the GOP legislature that gave those ideas the power of the purse...

What did him in is he's black and has a funny name. Other than that, he's a milquetoast Republican.

Dems gave that up 25 years ago, HRC included. She thought coddling coastal limousine liberal elites and throwing sops to iden arian progressives would win. She was wrong.

Was she? She won the popular vote.....

Thanks to the EC, Presidential politics is regional... and that's why it needs to be abolished..

I don't think Obama is great, btw.

I merely objected to the highly speculative claim that he's the worst ever.

The claim seems more emotive than factually based. I'm not even sure what objective basis one could claim for being the worst. Most ineffectual? Most corrupt?

How can one measure the good or harm a President -- all by himself -- does?

we have a snooty republican system. it's according to the foundational compact, so it's legit.

everyone knew the rules going in. HRC lost.
