Hamm on Sheffield:
- The longer Kendall Sheffield plays out this process the more skeptical I’m becoming that he signs with Texas A&M. Cecil, Kendall’s father, is and always has, called all the shots when it comes to his son’s future. He’s very analytical with the decision making process, almost to a fault, which is just one reason why things have been delayed close to a week past JUCO signing day. Another reason for delay is Texas. Something I initially mentioned last week as a potential twist. For one reason or another, it feels like Mr. Sheffield is looking for another reason not send his son to Texas A&M and the Longhorns are trying to use their connections to make a late move. Kendall attended multiple Houston games this fall and became close with Will Jackson, former Cougar CB that went in the first round to the Bengals, while he worked out with “The Footwork King” over the spring and summer. So there’s a connection with Tom Herman and the guys he’s put into the league.
