Generally happens when a team loses the HC. Very uninspired performance but they laid down a few times under Herman during the year also.
Houton's first loss against Navy. 46-40
Navy threw the ball a total of 6 times? Averaged 5 yards a pop on the ground. Dominated the clock...
How does this happen? I know Navy has a tough running game but it's not like the film was not out there and it was the first game of the season so Navy took them by surprise. I just say it's college kids, but wow.
After reading an article from above I do like the idea of having good position teachers. I'm glad Herman emphasized that because we had some terrible route running, all the way to defenders getting confused consistently on very basic pick plays. There were some glaring teaching problems IMO, 3 years worth.
Very simple. Navy is a top 25 team with a non-conventional offense on the road in a freaking Monsoon. If we are to question any loss at all it would be SMU.
46 pts in a monsoon... How about 10-6
I will question both of them since you brought that up as well.
Jenks Tight End Reese Leitao talks Texas, Tom Herman (HornsSports)

When you rely on the pass just as much as the run, the weather plays a bigger role IMO. So i wouldn't say they laid down for Herman at all in that game. SMU and Memphis when word started to get out yes.
What exactly are we arguing about here??

24/7 saying a name to keep an eye on down the stretch is DE Troy James of Baton Rouge, LA.
Like DE Bryan Jones, he is also a former high school teammate of DE Malcolm Roach.

We'll see if it's legit.

Update on TE Cade Brewer of Austin Lake Travis (OrangeBloods):
“I’ve gone and sat down with my family, talked over it a little more in depth,” Brewer said. “I want to make a pretty quick decision here in the next couple days. I’ll try to do it by the end of this week. We’ll see what happens.”
“With SMU, it’s just my relationship with coach (Chad) Morris and that staff. We have been going way back, ever since my sop re year they have been talking to me. Coach Morris used to coach at Lake Travis,” Brewer said. “I’ve known him for a long time, they run a very similar offense with their tight ends. It’s a very good education, very good location."
“With Texas, it’s just the tradition they have there at the University of Texas and how close it is to home. It’s probably the bigger conference and just coach (Tom) Herman, how he’s done over the years at Houston. I would say those are the biggest factors.”
“It does (impact things) a little bit. Charlie (Brewer) has been one of my good friends for a while,” Brewer said. “But for the most part, it’s strictly about me, what I want to do for the next four years and my future.”
“I still have to sort it out. I’m still indecisive right now,” Brewer said. “I’ll have a little more conversation with family and friends, then do what’s best for me.”
Nice game by Xavier Martin but his fumble on that drive to try to take the lead while Cibolo had all the momentum sealed the game. He would have had great numbers all year if not for the bum ankle. He finally looked more like his old self in the le game. Caden Sterns also had a nice game and Brendon Brady was a beast. I expect him to get some offers next year as I think he will have a breakout season.
Yeah.
Im not sure.
I think the poster before me said lay down and I was thinking more about inconsistent play. So that's my bad. And I think we are discussing. If we were arguing, I would have screamed, "you knuckle head"
24/7 reporting the recent offer to 2018 ATH Jermaine Eskridge of Tampa, FL is not valid.
