If this team is matched up against Utah/OKC I can see a 2011 Grizz-style meltdown. OKC plays with confidence against the Spurs as well and an imposing frontline; Utah has several former Spurs personnel and are potentially better than the Spurs at every position outside SF.
You can at least sag on WestBrick & dare him to jack up jumpers. Their starting frontline is also not imposing as all Sabonis does is jack up 3s like Ryan Anderson & he isn't a shot blocker like Ibaka.

If he has an idea in terms of scheme it won't be revealed in a december game. Some of the they used against the heat in 14 they hadn't done all season. Does he keep going with Pau and LMA? Yes, but this team ain't winning if they keep playing like they do. And this team ain't winning a championship with their other players playing starter minutes.
I think that might have been a strategy of Pop's in the past when there were not nearly this many questions surrounding the team. Personnel aside, Pop has gone from a scheme that seemed almost entirely dependent upon Kawhi and LMA isolations to game plans that involved very little isolation plays in the last 1-2 weeks. Tonight, compared to a month ago, the Spurs hardly ran any isos. Pop, however disengaged he may be during games, is casting about furiously to find some answers that he can live with - no significant alteration of the starting unit and no "big" trades to alter the roster. His own self-imposed straight jacket.

Spurs would destroy OKC(they're going to be very easy to stop in the playoffs), Memphis or the 8th seed(if they miraculously get the 1 seed)..

Utah would be a concern, though, although you can always rely on "dat core" to choke

To LMA/Gasol it might as well be Tim/David tbh.

Yep, I love Patty but the Spurs can't rely on him as their 2nd option. There's too many flaws with this team that I won't be surprised if they lose in the 1st round. It's very 2011/2016 Spurs-ish.
The team being an .800 team w/ Patty being the second best player so far is a miracle.

I can only imagine what the team would look like if you swap Softridge/Pau w/ Dragic/Millsap but then PATFO...

OKC are average at best, without Westbrook and Oladipo who probably won’t be 100% the rest of the season with his hand injury. Spurs match up pretty well now we have guys that can rebound off the bench also. Jazz only had one great game against the Spurs, when the Spurs played like crap. The Spurs took it to them the next game on the road. Hood is the only guy that sort of scares me on the Jazz. The top four teams right now will advance. The second round would be interesting especially against the Clippers, even the Rockets could scare the Warriors a game or two right now.

Not sure about Memphis if they are healthy (which is a big "if"), their bread & butter is the Conley/Gasol PnR which would exposed Pau big time. Plus, Z-Bo would get Dedmon in foul trouble. They can also play Troy Daniels & hide him on Danny if Tony Allen is a liability (just double Kawhi & dare Porker to score).

Hayward didn't play in either game, the Spurs basically got busted by a Jazz team w/o their leading scorer.

Deron Williams is not much better than Parker, I wouldn't touch him with with a ten foot pole either. I rather have Felton tbh
Fatton was Deron's backup last season & Felton wasn't better. Fatton is a better at getting penetration & on defense but Deron is better at running pick-and-pops which would suit Softridge/GaSoft.

Even without Paul or Griffin this team out-executes, outhustles, and just plain outperforms the Spurs. Never seen anything like it.
I genuinley believe we will get swept by them in the POs..

Kawhi owns Hayward but Pop actually put Kawhi on Hood last season b/c he was busting Danny which means Hayward will be freed from his shackles.

Spurs win 80% of their games this season when they start Parker. Less when they don't.

I remember the Felton from the OKC series last year where he was practically the Mavs best player outside of Dirk. Williams was bad in that series though he was injured.

I wouldn’t want either player at the end of the day

106 pts in 46% shooting isn't that bad. It's not good, but it's on the expected parameters of a game against an elite team. The offense on the other hand was atrocious, and a big reason why the defense looked worst than it should have.
You do realize they were missing one of their best players in Griffin and that CP3 missed most of the second half? So, yes 106 points on 46% shooting in that scenario is horrendous.

Deron was injured & was basically being held up by taped to even get on the floor.

Spurs are 1-7 when I go to games tbh.

Great seats doe, got autographs from Patty, Pau, and LMA.... nice guys tbh....

Porky of course waddled past the fans and proceeded to shoot 1/8
