Nadafinga!
One of the best lines in movie history.
Frah-gee-lay... It must be Italian![]()
I always watch this movie at least twice every Christmas eve / Christmas day.
Currently watching it for the second time today (its the second time it has been on TNT)![]()
It's been so long since I've been in the USA for the holidays, but isn't it on 24 hours straight over Xmas eve/day? I watched it online yesterday.
Hope the Spurs treat the Bulls like Ralphie treated Scott Farkus.
Yeah twelve times back to back on TNT. They used to do it for all 24 hours of Christmas day (East coast time) but now they put it on at 8 PM EST Christmas Eve until 8PM EST Christmas Day.
I love in the Skut Farkus scene how the mother doesn't pay any attention to the fact he's laid out on the ground with a face full of blood.
Still, my favorite scene in the movie is the soap poisoning when Ralphie flashes that eating grin as his parents are crying about making him go blind.![]()
it is on 24 hours straight on the TNT network. Has to be in my top 3 Christmas movies of all time.
MOM: This isn't one of those trees that all the needles falls off?
TREEGUY (with a guilty look): No, that's them balsams.
It's so perversely funny when he rats out his friend (when in fact he heard, ahem, "fudge" from his father) and then the poor friend gets beaten up on the phone.
Ahhhhh!!! What did I do mom!?!!
Cold parental justice (or something to that effect)
Man, you know this stuff. You're like an Arab trader and twice as shrewd. (Did I get that right?)
The scene was playing as I typed that. Right now Ralphie just got his decoder pin.
LOL... I'm sitting here thinking, "He keeps typing the same stuff I'm watching."
Well, duh.
LMAO when the scene transitions from Randy pulling up the toilet seat to Ralphie pulling the top off the pot of that nasty boiling cabbage.![]()
The mom laughing as dad's shoddily glued together leg lamp crumples into pieces![]()
This movie is just so good at capturing the excitement of that one Christmas when there was that one toy you just so badly wanted.![]()
Agreed.
"Fra-gee-lee. It must be Italian."
For this film and Nightstalker Darren McGavin will always be a hero of mine.
Merry Christmas to you all!
