Damn, just read. 10 years since James Brown died too.
Last Christmas
Damn, just read. 10 years since James Brown died too.
just when you think 2016 can't get any worse, then Wham!
His life passed by like a careless whisper.
John climbing that scaffolding at Wembley Stadium "Don't Let the Sun" to join him still raises the hair. It is incomparable.
At prime he was almost beautiful.
Now he's never gonna dance again.
My condolonces, Chumpdumper
happens when you have sex with Magic
Outlived by Charlie Sheen... wow
Just goes to show you just gotta have faith.
Who knows. Or maybe the toll taken from drugs.
Drugs. Great voice. Great musician. Producer. Same echelon as Prince
Maybe same star level and nothing against GM but Prince was a mucical genius on a different level.
Suspect death. Only 53, but RIP anyways.
Prince was all about symbolism.
Michael was all about substance.
Truth.
I can't tell if you're disagreeing or just throwing out a catch phrase. Both were extremely talented songwriters and performers. But I don't think Micheal was on the same level...musically...as Prince. I'm not sure it's debatable.
And I wasn't a huge fan of either. Liked a lot of both of their work but not complete catalogs.
Anyway...they're playing GM videos on MTV Classic. Pretty cool. Find myself appreciating some of the early stuff slow stuff that I didn't care for at the time.
Never cared for GM. , probably died from AIDs but still, he should have known better than to cheat a friend.
Poor George, I guess he never had faith.
Looks like this was his Last Christmas.
R.I.P.
Remember that song 'James Brown is dead, do do do da da, do, do ,da,da, James Brown is dead' and that was the whole thing he wasn't of course.
The problem with Prince is that he was so wrapped up in being symbolic that it overshadowed his talent in a lot of people's eyes, especially the mainstream fan. He was one of the greatest talents of his generation and easily a top ten musical talent all time. SFS is right...GM doesn't belong in the same discussion with Prince from a talent standpoint.
